Senzel played SS and 2B in high school and early college. The position isn't totally new to him.

SS is clearly a need.

Senzel will start in AAA and if Perraza plays poorly, we will see Senzel and a change will be made.

Im not in favor of it

Dick Williams and Price are being vaginas because it sounds like they're scared to force Suarez to SS after the strong year he had at 3B last year. It's not ideal but at least they're not burying Senzel in the minors by giving him a chance to play a different position

There's no reason why Peraza/Schebler/Hamilton or f'ing Cliff Pennington should be getting playing time over a top prospect

Itís just moronic to have Senzel play SS, when Suerez is a more than capable SS option. So of course thatís what the Reds will do. Dumb.

Senzel must be the next Mike Trout according to some...

Zero, these are the number of games Senzel played in AAA Louisville last season. He played in 57 games at AA Pensacola last season.

If you are going to do a position change AND skip a level, you are setting the kid up for failure. Let's the process work out. He'll be up at some point in 2018.

Of course no one thinks Senzel is the next Trout. That’s just another lie.

Two contrary posts on the same day. Arguing with yourself? Classic.

Yep. No matter how many times he's called out for it, he just keeps lying about what others have said. He does it on the other Yappi forums as well.

I don't understand it. I couldn't do it and still look myself in the mirror.

I like the Pennington signing. He's a major league proven player who has shown the ability to play an excellent SS. With his experience, he'll accept his role as a bench player who can fill in when needed or play every day at SS should an injury occur.

I would keep Suarez at 3B. After some tough times defensively there, he has made himself a good everyday 3B. The position is solid with him there. Besides, he has never shown excellent defense at the SS position in his career. Why move him to SS, turning BOTH 3B AND SS into uncertainties?

How all this affects Senzel is for spring training to determine. The kid can play all 3 as well as a corner OF position. Is he ready? None of us on here can possibly know that. Any opinions now really aren't based on much other than speculation. We'll find out soon enough.

According to 14Red, I guess this means I think Cliff Pennington is Derek Jeter.
