The Madison team that is shown here is undoubtedly an error. The team members seem to be a composite of several other Madison teams from around the state. Milesplit makes this error occasionally, sometimes confusing teams with similar names. Madison will finish near the bottom if they can field a full team.

I'm amazed that there is a Montessori school large enough to be D2.

Dear Lord cc609, proof read.

You would love the conversation I had at work the other day with a basketball coach. He was telling me how many of his kids get recruited to play HS ball in Cleveland. To the point he is being told where to play kids etc... He showed me an email that would have made your blood boil.

I think you are not 100% correct. Check out ODE web page for exact definition of private schools.

Ohio has two types of nonpublic (private) schools. One type is a Chartered Nonpublic School and the other is a Non-Chartered, Non-Tax Supported School. The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) charters schools on behalf of the State Board of Education; whereas other states may accredit their schools. Although chartered schools must report and submit many documents to the agency, please note that ODE does not maintain student records or transcripts for any students in Ohio. Such documents are retained locally at either the school or the local school district where the school was located.

Chartered nonpublic schools are private schools that have provided evidence of adherence to the Operating Standards for Ohio Schools and are therefore officially chartered by the State Board of Education. These schools can choose to offer a religious-based curriculum. Credits and diplomas from such schools must be recognized by other Ohio chartered schools (both public and nonpublic).

Non-chartered non-tax supported schools (NCNT) are those that, because of truly held religious beliefs, choose to not be chartered by the State Board of Education. Such schools are required to file a report with the Ohio Department of Education annually. A list of NCNT schools are available to review on our website at: NCNT Information. The Ohio Department of Education does not have legal authority to regulate the curriculum taught in non-chartered schools.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here, 609. If you're stating that Clark is analogous to a charter school that in essence is private yet receives public funds, that is patently false. Clark is a Cincinnati Public School with roughly 700 to 750 students.

Clark is not private nor a charter school. It is a part of Cincinnati Public school. Cincinnati has two Montessori high schools. Gamble is the other.

And Clark has been a CPS school for quite a while now. How did you come to think it was a private school?

How would a publically funded private school work? It's sort of like a boys only all girls school. But how is a Montessori school that big? It's like running 10 Montessori schools under one roof.

Yes, you're right...It was the wrong Madison team. I don't know if I'll have time to re-do it.
