Surprising that you have St. Henry ranked ahead of Fort Loramie. Believe Fort def. SH by 20 earlier in the year. Another possible good game this week has Versailles playing Marion Local tomorrow night.

Within the past few weeks, Centerville has trounced both Lebanon and Sidney. And also beat your #1 ranked Springfield. Yet you booted the ELKS from your top 10?

So Springfield winning a close game at home over a unbeaten Wayne elevates them over Wayne? Wayne already beat them and has better wins and a better record. Not to mention SF lost to Centerville and got beat bad by Moeller at home. We'll see IF Springfield can beat Trotwood (like Wayne has already). I also disagree respectfully of course with Centerville dropping out.

Yes they have 8 losses. They're always tough At home(they won that game at home v. Springfield)but not on the road, been inconsistent all year which the rankings have reflected that, they've been in and out all year. They've also lost to Springfield this year too and if I based Rankings on whom teams have beaten throughout the year then the rankings would be the same from week 1 that's why they're weekly ratings.

If you're honest you will admit Wayne got lucky and won the first game against Springfield

I'm of the opinion that Springfield sweeps Wayne in the regular season if not for a key player sitting out the first quarter for disciplinary reasons. Springfield got in a big hole with him out, and clawed back the rest of the way to go to overtime.

Oh BTW it took Wayne shooting 26% for Springfield to win AT SF. And it was a 4 point game with 3 minutes left, I'd sure hope Springfield could win with such a off night shooting and Smith missing the 2nd quarter after a garbage 2nd foul.

And I am of the opinion that Wayne would have swept Springfield if Wayne hadn't decided to have its worst shooting game in many years...

They should've lost but held on. After that game at Wayne I said Springfield was the better coached team and that you could see that this Wayne team was not a Trice coached team.

Not really, they had many wide open looks that they missed. But keep on believing, maybe Springfield sports will win something of significance at some point...

Yeah it's called a off night. Wayne missed tons of wide open shots, Springfield plays good D but more of an off night. Wayne shot 54% the 1st game, if they shoot anywhere close to that they win. Parker had his worst game of his life Friday.

Yea, and the Cats would be tied with Wayne if not for their worst game of the season at Centerville. It happens. It's not like Springfield played a great game Friday night either. They jump out to a 6-0 lead then missed their next 8 shots, missed free throws by the Cats alone kept this from being a 15 point Cats win. Let's be honest, neither team has played well since that first game. But it's asinine not to give the Cats any credit.

Let's hope for a rubber match, but for it to happen the Cats would have to get past Moeller first - considering what happened a week ago in Springfield that may be a tall task.

GO CATS!!!!!!!

You're absolutely correct. It's hard to win shooting 26 per from the field however, if we want to use that as an excuse you can also say that if Moss hits the front end of his free throws in regulation in the first game, then Springfield sweeps Wayne this year and Wayne didn't shoot 26% that night. Wayne won fair and square at home and Springfield did the same on it's home court.

Its not an excuse. It's a fact that they shot 26%...an excuse would be saying the officials were awful and homers. Springfield played better and deserved the win 100%. My point is that Wayne played their worst game of the season and it was extremely close. People on here are acting like Wayne got blown out. I for one am very much hoping for the rubber match

In their two matchups, Springfield's outscored Wayne by 18 points in regulation with their football stud available. I don't think it's a coincidence their one bad quarter happened to be with him sitting out.

Hopefully there's a rubber match at the Cintas, but Moeller sits in the way of that.

Obviously Springfield won't based on their most recent showing with Moeller. Wayne will get further than Springfield and will most likely play Moeller to advance.

Yes it is a fact but your using that fact as the reason they lost that would qualify as an excuse. And actually the first game was closer it went into overtime, Springfield lost by 3 Wayne did lead by seventeen at one point but got a reprieve when it went into overtime. I have not seen anyone saying this game was a blowout but the tone has been Springfield was in control the whole game. I think everybody even Wayne fans knew they would be in trouble this time no surprises here.

And Princeton. Regular season means nothing now everybody starts fresh. Although depending on who chose what bracket, the regionals should be Moeller,Wayne,Springfield and Princeton.

Not sure what Madison has done to be ranked ahead of Versailles, Loramie, Anna or Bethel. I guess we will find out soon enough if their ranking is inflated or not.

Verasailles lost twice last week once at home, Fort Loramie lost last week, Bethel hasn't played since Jan. 30,you can't reward a team that hasn't played nor can you reward a team that's 1-2 for the week. Teams keep winning, naturally their going to move up. Not saying their a better team but they haven't lost in a fairly decent conference.

Ft. Loramie has been playing short handed as the flu has hit the team. Tyler Seigel was out against Anna and another starter played a little but was also sick.

Versailles lost to Butler & St. Henry in close games. Ft. Loramie lost to Anna. It's not like they lost to cream puffs. I think Bethel beat Tri Village over the weekend. Madison did lose to a National Trail team earlier in the year that Bethel roughed up. I'm not even sure if Caleb South was back yet.

I get that you're looking at last week's results as a recent barometer of a team's ranking but I just think you need to consider some of the other variables especially who they beat or loss to.

Madison was not at full roster till their 12th game so most people in the area are not looking at that early of a game either.

That being said I think Madison's recent struggles with Waynesville, Preble, and Northridge in which all 3 games they basically escaped with wins. I think their guard play is very suspect. I would put Versailles, Anna, Bethel all ahead of Madison, but its not outrageous to put them that high.
