Troy D-3 District Rankings #5

I love doing these rankings, but as it has been pointed out before, they are just for fun. To any wrestlers who read these and feel that they are ranked too low, you may be right.
I am bound to be wrong on many of the rankings, but fortunately they have absolutely no impact on how anyone will finish at any tournament this season or any other year.

Please let me know if anyone has inside information about new weights, schools, or wrestlers that they think should be added.

I’ve tried shifting the wrestlers around from schools that changed divisions. Please let me know if any are wrong, or if I’m forgetting any schools/wrestlers.

Ware beat Schwieterman in a dual this past Saturday. I believe the score was 3-2. Looks like it should be a battle at districts!

Heavyweight is so tough to figure out. I think that Stears, Ware and Schweiterman are all pretty solid in the top 3 spots. But the 4th spot could go any number of ways, depending on the brackets. Topp pinned Meyer at Milton Union in the first period of the championship match. Meyer and Davies are 1-1 against each other this year, with Davies beating Meyer at LCC (5-3), and Meyer beating Davies at NWC (5-1). Davies pinned O'Dell at Allen County and at NWC, each time in around a minute. Meyer pinned O'Dell at NWC toward the end of the 2nd period. And O'Dell pinned Topp at Parkway in the first period. Any of those 4 could end up in that final spot to go to state, as well as maybe some other dark horse. I don't see Reel or Bailey (both qualifiers from LCC last year) making it out of the sectional.

Agreed. I'm curious to see where some of the lighter weights decide to wrestle. 106, 113, 120 and 126 could each be the toughest weight depending on where some people settle in.
