Robert Wagner Cited as Person of Interest by Investigator Probing Natalie Woods Death

Quote:
The CBS newsmagazine “48 Hours” is bringing new scrutiny to the investigation into Wood’s death, which was reopened in 2011. Wood drowned in the water off Catalina Island in November 1981 after she disappeared from her family’s yacht, the Splendour. Wagner, boat captain Dennis Davern and actor Christopher Walken were aboard the yacht that night. Wood’s death was initially ruled an accident but questions about the circumstances of her drowning have persisted for decades.

“As we’ve investigated the case over the last six years, I think he’s more of a person of interest now,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant John Corina told “48 Hours” correspondent Erin Moriarty. “I mean, we know now that (Wagner) was the last person to be with Natalie before she disappeared.”

No surprise there. He's been a "person of interest" since her splash down.

Sooooo, almost 40 years later he has become "more of a person of interest?" He was only 50% a person of interest before? It's always the spouse, duh!

It is hard for me to understand how any American has grown up without having seen Westside Story, but I am real big on Americans having a broad knowledge and understanding of their culture; a position not shared by a lot of our young people.

14Red is an unknown quantity at this point
Why does this remind me of an episode of Cold Case?? I mean, who knows what actually went on other than Wagner?? And at this point, does it really matter? She's been dead for 40 years, Wagner is nearly 90?
I would guess if you went back to alot of deaths in the 60's and 70's now, many would become "suspicious".

Don't forget the original "Miracle on 34th Street" made when she was about 5 years old.

Hit on the head with a cowbell in the kitchen.

I think it's apparent who did the killing.

The Green Promise -film- 1948

Natalie was 10
Storm scene: near end of film Wood was supposed to run across a bridge, which would
collapse into the water after she reached the opposite side. However, the bridge
collapsed while Wood was on it. She fell into the water, she broke her left wrist
in the fall. The injury was not correctly set and a lump protruded from the wrist.
She always wore a bracelet to hide the lump.

Well, at least she was conscious when she hit the water that time.

Well if you are saying that the only relevant cultural elements consist of those within the past twenty years, then you are advocating for a very shallow and ignorant society. American popular culture is very rich if you look beyond the 1990's. To answer your question, I do know something of hip hop music and like some of it. I am not into the Hos, Guns and Drug aspects and believe all the "want-a-bes" are silly beyond comprehension, but there is some that I like. I know it is not mainstream hip hop of the East or West Coast variety, but I was really moved by the "Hamilton" sound track and look forward to seeing it performed live.

I had you pegged for a hardcore gangster rap connoisseur yeah I am not into that stuff either although I guess I can see why some may find it appealing. There are some rappers who i like, those who don't have to cuss every other word and where the lyrics are more relatable or well thought out. Won't find it on the radio though

She had to be conscious the second time, too, to claw up the side of the boat like that. I'm sure she was awake right up until the oar came out of the dinghy's oar lock......

Robert Wagner with a cowbell in the kitchen? I was way off. I suspected Col. Mustard with a candlestick in the study.
