State AP Poll

Apparently the voters focused heavily on the Classic in the Country. I don't think I've ever seen a D1 poll that had no teams outside the top 10 receive 12 or more votes.

9. Dresden Tri-Valley 10-2, 35

Others receiving 12 or more points: None.

DIVISION II

Hiland is 15th in DIV - even tho they are in DIII. Hiland just got back Morgan McMillen from an ACL and their post player from an ankle sprain. They have lost to Fairmont, Stow Munroe-Falls, Regis Jesuit out of Colorado, and Newark (#1 DI team in Ohio).

They are a top 4 team in DIII, will be in Cbus at the final four unless something weird happens - and this is why the AP poll is a joke.

Either Solon is not in the top ten or Mason is, I watched Mason soundly beat Solon. That is the one that stands out as head scratching. Now if the people voting did not see any of the games I get it. Solon did beat a short handed MND. Most people may not know that either. It seemed Solon got a pass (nothing new). Too much credit for beating MND and enough accountability for going down to Mason.

And Wayne got no credit for their strong play, should have beat Newark and beat a good Regis team from CO.

Interesting?

relax buddy its a poll and Solon has been good for the past 4 years they have beat so many good teams and Mason is a good team they should be ranked. The playoffs are all that matter, not how teams played in a mid season game

Are you sure Hiland is D-3 this year? Also Ottoville is 15-0, plays at Minster tomorrow. Thanks, Big Green fan.

Thanks, good (great) news Berlin-Hiland is in D-3 this year. Is that what the competitive balance thing is in Ohio?

It could be due to competitive balance...their enrollment increased by 8 with their CB numbers. That's not a lot unless if they were already on the D4/D3 enrollment border.
