Don’t get it twisted, I’m all for source criticism and whatnot, and I too find myself annoyed with “I heard” at times, but unless someone much closer to the situation (like, one of the coaches) is going to step up, sign up and post an update with their name attached to it, the entirety of this thread henceforth, until the season starts, will be anecdotes written as (and generally understood to be) hearsay.

As EagleFan mentioned earlier in this thread, the AD’s of the scheduled teams likely have their finger on the pulse on this one better than anyone in this thread does. Several of them probably already have established ‘drop dead’ dates, like “if you can’t prove that you have a team by date ‘x’, we’re cancelling on you.”
As has been pointed to me in an earlier post, at this point the AD's find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. Yes, they can cancel. But, so what? At this point, what chance would any of them have to fill that open space on their schedules? There very likely will be several elite programs with egg on their faces and open dates on their schedules. The AD's may decide that the best option is to sit tight and hope for the best. That may be hoping against hope, but there may be no other viable alternative.

Maybe they're just flying under the radar.

I look for them to run the table.

Really? Why would having more 18 and 19 year olds void the insurance? I thought some of these Canadian teams have post grads. I know Ohio basketball teams have played schools with post grads.

Pretty sure OHSAA schools DO NOT play schools with post grads on their roster. The Prep Schools will have a traveling team that doesn't include post grads so they are eligible to win mythical National Championships. The post grads join when they play other prep schools or for Prep Nationals.

The Canadian teams have post grads that play. We played one last season that had kids who were in a year of post graduate education. A lot of OHSAA schools play against these teams.

Not sure how it works in each sport. When Blair Academy wrestling wrestles Ohio schools, their post-grads do not wrestle I believe.

Thought I have read here on Yappi in the past that WRA in Hudson uses some post-grad players when they play OHSAA opposition (EDIT: in football). Perhaps someone with knowledge of their situation and what they do could post here and clarify this question?

Interesting. ODU's campus is 90-some acres. If COF is claiming a 60-acre campus, does that mean they're leasing two-thirds of ODU?

Sounds like some very "creative" marketing.

Correct, they don't bring post grads to Ironman (not allowed) or use them in duals with Ohio teams. They're only used against other prep schools and prep national championships. I'll admit I have no clue about the Canadian teams. It's really only been within the last few years that the country has tried to develop their football programs by playing US teams. And I don't know how their education system is set up.

This COF academy reminds me of the West Virginia Prep Academy scam that took place back in 2011:

Hope we don't see the same with COF academy.

But, But they've shown a video of at least the same six guys training. Just hired an OL coach who's thankful for a "new beginning" and appear to have ordered helmets on Friday....I'm not sure why people question this dynasty?

I ran up the grass hill at Hoover Dam carrying one of those giant boulders faster than their kids were running across it. Three of the girls in our crossfit group did too. They need to switch to an Upward flag football schedule.

If they can't get recognition from the OHSAA as a legit school, playing them will garner no computer points. The only thing that a team will risk is an injury, so might as well take the open date and heal some wounds.

Only 12 days until Clarkson Football North makes the 400-mile, 7-hour bus ride to COF Academy in Columbus for the first game of the Ohio high school football season.

Who ya got? Anyone going to the game? What's the parking situation like? Any good restaurants nearby? When is helmet handout day?
