QB Lange graduated as did Luttmer and Schlarmin two very good players. Plus I believe Covington returns quite a bit.

That wouldn't give them any points or count as a game. R.S.A is a Club Team. I just read an article that said MV had 21 players so they will play that game barring some freak injury bug or something.

Catching parts of the Hall Of Fame game on TV tonight. Did the pictures of a young Jerry Kramer remind anybody else of John Dirkson ?

Have noticed that ML plays FR at home for the second straight season and @ CW for the second consecutive season. I am assuming this is because of the MAC's rotating schedule where all league teams do not play each other.

minster plays St Henry and Coldwater on the road for the second straight year, and plays the FORT and the CARDS at home for the second consecutive year.

It happens. Believe CW played at MSML two years in a row recently.

I see that both Minster and Coldwater have three scrimmages scheduled. I had thought teams were limited (by OHSAA) to only two - guess not.

I caught some...Offensively, the running game looked similar to last season. Pass protection was ok for this time of year. I like the number of skilled athletes this team has. Plenty of targets to spread the wealth. Hopefully one emrges as that difference maker.

Both Qb's played well. That Blasingame is impressive. He threw one pass where I felt the defender baited him to throw, jumped the route and I thought for sure when he threw it that it was a pick. He smoked it in there! Very impressive runner as well. He did remind me of hoying.

Defensively, looked small upfront. Appeared to run alot of 3 man fronts. But they did better than what I expected against the run. I really like the athleticism in secondary. Seemed to play nickel which may be a way to get the better athletes on the field.

How the QB situation is handled will be interesting. Both can play and have strengths. I think Blasingame can be special. Imo, the Achilles of this team is going to be running the ball again.

Go Cavs!

Look for tight end Noah Miller to surprise a few. He torched Celina a few times in the 7/7. Running a 3-4 defense and maybe some 3-3-5 defense doesn't also surprise me due to just lack of depth on the line. I definitely agree about Blasingame. He has a CANNON! I saw him throw the ball but haven't seen him run yet. We need to be able to block better than last year that's for sure. Our O-Line I thought was our biggest weakness last year. Go Cavs!

Marion Local has not played a scrimmage yet but heard that they played in a 7 on 7 vs Fort Loramie and Celina and the Flyers faired very well. This was 2nd hand info though.

I am surprised schools are choosing to play three scrimmages. To have a hard-hitting scrimmage on a Tue and then another on Fri seems like a lot.
I say this because the numerous ML scrimmages that I have attended seem very game-like. The kids from both teams appear to be hitting hard and playing about the same number of snaps as a full game.
In '15 ML's talented tailback/OLB was injured against DJ in a tough, physical scrimmage. He missed several games at tailback and I'm not sure his shoulder ever fully healed that season. It seems like coaches would want to avoid this at all costs.

I think CW has had 3 scrimmages for several years now. Don't seem to have anymore injuries than any other schools, maybe even less. Injuries happen whether in practice or during a game.

Its a possibility. I don't mind scrimmaging Greenville. It gives us an opportunity to hit somebody in a different colored jersey and we prepare them for their league.

I took off to watch it but woke up too late to get there... but I know the feeling. At least the scrimmage is home this week vs Tinora.
