I think he got ejected because of a hard tag at home plate or something.

Human nature crosses the lines of all sports, and colors our thinking. Arslanian, a future college LB currently catching HS baseball games, kind of gets treated on plate plays the way Shaq did with respect to fouls in the NBA.

On the 18th against Hudson, Hudson's 4-hole drives in a run with a triple in the 5th. That is followed with a single to right, so Arslanian is looking up the 1st base line for a throw from the RF that arrives a bit high just before the runner. The Hudson runner makes no attempt to slide whatsoever and runs shoulder slightly down into contact, but the Aurora catcher handles the throw and the runner is merely called out. The Hudson player simply returns to his defensive position after the 1/2 inning when he should clearly have been ejected. Oh well, Ho-hum.

The next game, same home plate a day later, the Solon SS attempts to score from first on a double to right. Again, the catcher Arslanian is looking up the first base line for a throw from the RF, he must hear everyone screaming as the runner approaches the plate and he takes the throw where it comes in, and he does as any catcher would - whip around 90 degrees with a tag moving quickly out of the catch. He happens to meet the kid around the head and shoulders, knocking him flat as the runner's momentum is already downward into a slide. Every thinking person knows speed = force, and a big, quick kid sweeping a tag is going to be forceful. Arslanian is tossed, and Aurora is forced to bring a starting OF in to catch and put a youngster in LF.

The double standard stinks.

Iron sharpens iron.

Aurora and NDCL to play a home/home Monday and Tuesday, getting two games in as each tries to advance in their respective regions Thursday.

Good luck to both of the remaining Suburban teams going forward.
