For the boys, I'd go with McKinley to win the meet, but I'm not sure who will win the league. IIRC, Jackson has a 1 pt. lead over GlenOak going into the meet due to their undefeated record in league duals and a 2 pt. lead over McKinley. Teams get 1 point for every dual meet they win. Jackson and GlenOak both beat McKinley in the duals which count toward the league title. Winning the league meet might be weighted, but I'm not sure by how much. It may come down to a tiebreaker...

McKinley will score big in the jumps and sprints. Jackson could outscore GlenOak in the sprints, and Jackson will have the upper hand in the distance events. The other teams' kids could spoil the party by stealing some points that the aforementioned 3 schools are counting on earning.

For the girls, it's between GlenOak and Perry. GlenOak went unbeaten in the duals which included a 70-67 win over Perry, but it's my understanding that Perry's best sprinter did not run in that dual meet. I don't see any of the other girls teams being strong enough in all areas to pull an upset.

I am predicting a Glen Oak sweep for both boys & girls league titles with Hoover's Matt Peare being the boys MVP with 3 individual wins!

Congratulations to the Glen Oak girls and Jackson boys for winning league titles last night!

The meet was well organized and fun to watch! I was surprised there was not a bigger crowd for the meet.

North Canton Hoover's Matt Peare was the boys mvp with wins in the Pole vault, High Hurdles, & Long Jump. He leads the county in these 3 events and should be the favorite to win the state meet in the pole vault.
