Yeah, I never wanted to get called out not swinging. It seemed to me Jackson was trying to work the walk. And, of course, the ball was smoking in at 100!

That compound movement just wasn't there, like the last outing. I don't know if he was missing something on the release of the ball that he typically does on some pitches, or what. The high, random, extreme misses are unlike what we've been used to seeing, too. He did not seem to be "sitting" in his delivery as much as usual - more upright. That makes me wonder about his back again.

There's not too much I would have done differently, but I did not like forcing Kipnis into the line-up in the two hole. They had succeeded with Jackson there for weeks, and I think I would left him there. He had done nothing to lose his spot. Maybe Chisenhall wasn't ready to be back, either, but I had hoped to see a few more ABs for him.

Ultimately, we just didn't hit. Can't win games like that. We made the Yankee pitching staff look amazing. Let's see what Houston is able to do before we crucify our hitters, though.

Meh, pretty lame come back weirdo. The Reds are rebuilding and there were no expectations of anything better than 68 wins, however you called out the Yankees as "Chok-kees" in the first inning of the wild card game. Such a putz.

The Indians and Yankees both have really good pitching staffs.
The Indians just seemed totally drained - or at least out of it - after the big comeback in game 2.
Some errors can be expected, but some of the errors - like the one last night allowing the fifth run to score - are just unacceptable.
Nobody covering second base on the hit to right.
Horrible throw to Lindor.
Terrible effort by Lindor to catch the throw (didn't).

Hats off to Gardner - what an at bat.
Good luck to the Yankees!

At 737 posts for a team 24 games out, one could think you were the GM rebuilding Putz personified in _purple

The effort - or lack thereof - in left by Jackson was piss-pour, too. What do we learn in Little League about getting down, blocking the path of the ball - with your chest if necessary to keep it in front of you, and covering bases for throws from the outfield? Both Jackson and Lindor gave less than 100%. Poopy.
