Uh, cmon man. Usually as arrogant as you sound you usually know some facts but your memory must be slipping a bit. Valley View was not at that quad scrimmage with Edgewood, CM, Sydney last year. It was Milford. Maybe they bailed the year before but I am 100% sure that they were not there last year.

Not sure, but watch out for Bailey running the ball this year! Running very low 11's FAT in the 100m during Track & looked like he weighed 185+. I know they lost their big TE's & Filburn at RB, but Bailey will be tough to handle.

Can only hope Northwestern is improved. Still nowhere near the caliber of Tipp. Thatís a good thing for Milton.

Watched Badin and Madison scrimmage last night, anybody playing Madison better be ready. They are big, strong, physical and run their offense well. They looked solid for a first scrimmage. Need to tighten in up on defense a bit, but they are going to be a force in the SWBL this year.

MU scrimmaged Covington. Heard it went well. It was a scrimmage though. Kenton Ridge is next. Good luck SWBL schools.

I was at the Milton vs Covington game. Milton won 3 to 2. One Milton TD was a defensive interception. Milton looked good. They were back to their bruising style. Shields looked good. Covington burned them on two bombs from Schmelzer, so the pass defense was the only only flaw I saw from the Dogs.

Good. Covington is a tough customer every year. Scrimmages, especially the first one, are a good gauge of how well the kids have picked up on the practices. Covington seems to always get better with time. MU needs to show up strong against a much bigger Kenton Ridge team Saturday.
Good luck to the Buccs this year

Milton's defensive line and middle linebackers looked real good. They played with bruising intensity. Shields is a clone of Finfrock. Milton also looked organized and seemed to know what to do, which is a good sign for this time of the year.Covington has not settled yet on a starting QB, but Smelzer was the best one. These games are just measuring sticks and not a predictor of the season to come.

Everything seems pretty quiet over at VV and Franklin.. seems pretty surprising the two top teams in the SWBL SW side are not talking

Did not see the entire scrimmage, vv dominated the segment I saw(about an hours worth), maybe it was the opponent. Not a good test, VV was bigger and quicker than I expected, they scored at least 5 times, maybe more. Looks like a long year for WC.

Not taking anything away from VV but WC has a weak program. It sounds like it went as expected.

Didn’t go. Haven’t heard anything. What about MU rethinking the second scrimmage and add maybe TCN or Bethel. Someone closer. We’ve scrimmaged Kenton Ridge for along time. It’s a haul over there.

He was actually 205 at that point. Still a solid 200 now even after two-a-days.

I am surprised Trace Etter isn't mentioned in the article. I was looking at the roster and they Have Gunner Lakins listed at 6-2 220? I didn't see the Bowermaster twins on the roster also?

All of your top four are pretty solid, as long as they can stay healthy. I can see any of them really making a push for 1 and 2 spot.

I'm interested in how the southwestern plays out. Really surprised this is as quite as I've ever seen carlisle. What's going on in the village?

Swbl 2017

My SWBL SW side predictions based on last years results, change of opponent, home and away etc....
2016
1. Franklin (11-1)(6-0)
2. VV (10-2)(5-1)
3. Bellbrook (7-3)(3-3)
4. Brookville (5-6)(2-4)
5. Monroe (3-7)(2-4)
6. Oakwood (2-8)(2-4)
7. Eaton (2-8)(2-4)

2017
1. Franklin (10-0)(6-0)
2. Valley V (9-1)(5-1)
3. Brookville (7-3)(4-2)
4. Bellbrook (6-4)(3-3)
5. Monroe (3-7)(1-5)
6. Eaton (3-7)(1-5)
7. Oakwood (2-8)(1-5)

My opinion....
VV and Franklin are the cream of the crop. These two teams will run the league, winner of that game wins league..

Brookville is kind of like 1A in my opinion. They are better than people give them credit for and I won't be surprised if they happen to actually sneak a win over VV or Franklin

Bellbrook is third tier.. good team but a step behind the top three, however a big step above the bottom three

Monroe, Oakwood, Eaton... another rough season for these teams but some exciting moments to be had. Oakwood could sneak into the next tier based solely on their QB play

I see the Valley View Franklin game deciding the league. I don't think Franklin was 33 points better than Valley View last year and Valley view has them at home so I am predicing the View to win this year. I could see Brookville upsetting one of those 2 and making the league a 3 way tie. I think Bellbrook will be better than last year but they may lose another game though. Oakwood is the true wildcard here because they took Franklin and Valley View to the wire but were very unimpressive the rest of the year. Monroe from what I hear has looked good, they return a lot and a Quarterback but I can't see them competing with the top 4 unless they have improved a ton.
