Yes - nice list indeed. Interesting with no D'emelio, as well as Marcelli ranked 5th D1 but gets the nod (not disagreeing - he is super tough). I'd say a few of these weights would be very much contested for the top spot.

Not a sleeper but I think Borofan had him at 4 or 5 but if I was picking I think I'm picking I've got him taking 182 this year

A couple of Oregon Clay corrections:

Garret Anderson is a senior this year, you have him as a sophomore.

Troy Murphy will be a junior this season, you have him as a senior.

If Jacob Moon is ranked 8th at 113, then that is a pretty tough weight class to be in.

1. Julian Tagg( freshman state champ; 2018 world team; fargo champ; Flo rank#2)

2. Lucas Byrd( 2x state placer; 2018 world team; fargo runner up; super32 placer; Flo rank#4)

3. Dylan Shawver( state placer; 2x fargo placer; was Florank#13 early July)

4. Brandon Lucas( 2x state placer; fargo placer)

5. Jake Canitano( state placer; missed most last season with injury)

6.Logan Agin( state placer; fargo placer; super32 placer)

7. Angelo Rini( state placer; fargo placer)

IMO, the most top heavy weight class

I just updated the D1 team rankings after hearing of a few new wrestlers at LaSalle (Due to Root taking the job).

You said a few. Care to just tell those of us that didn't know Mason's program too well which wrestlers those are. I looked at the rankings and I only noticed Donathan, but that is because I am not too familiar with what exactly Mason had prior.

Looks like Boro has switched Dillon Walker 145 and Donothan 152 to Lasalle for their team...

HiC is correct, just Walker and Donathan so far. A few others have PMed me and said they have heard a couple other names as well. I'm guessing when school starts in a couple weeks, we will know for sure.

I wonder if a few former Golden Cross kids that went elsewhere for HS may consider a transfer to build the Southwest Dream Team or just some stud looking to take SW to the top of the team standings? Looks like slotting in a person in the 152/160/170 range with the combo of Donothan and Sizemore and maybe a Hvy would set a dangerous lineup that may challenge for a very high placement in the individual and dual state tournaments. Sizemore has wrestled in the 180s this spring/summer and Donothan was listed at 170 to begin with, so they may have flexibility with those 2 from 52-70 to accommodate the right person.
So, who from the SW would make this lineup compete with the likes of Eds?
Build your team...Snodgrass #3, Heyob #6, etc.

106 Norris #2
113 Byrd #2
120 Allen #15
126 Wyles NR
132 D Heard #9
138 E Heard #7
145 Walker #5
152 Donothan #4
160 Sizemore #8
170 ?
182 Wilson #4
195 Baker #4
220 Bledsoe #2
Hvy ?

Wow! the DI team race just got really really interesting.

St. Edward, Brecksville, Elyria, OLib, Massilion Perry, and now a even more loaded Lasalle.

Couple questions: Could Lasalle challenge SPG in a dual for the best team in the SW? Also, when was the last time the DI State Title was won by a SW Ohio team?

Good call.
Since Dream Team was mentioned, let's go with a former Golden Cross member who happens to be one of the nations top Hvy recruits in Mason Parris.

Unfortunately, SPG can't move up until 2018-2019 season. Its too bad because they have a a sensational Senior class this year that will be very hard to replace for the 2018-2019 DI State Duals. Lasalle only has one Senior on their already stacked lineup. I could see Lasalle beating SPG handily next year and if they are in the same SW district, SPG may not even make it to Columbus for the finals.

I would suspect that if SPG moves up they come to the central and replace Marysville/D Coffman at state. Sidney, Pigua, Springfield, Troy and Tecumseh all have come to that region the last several years. Since several of those schools drove past SPG to come to Marysville, I would put SPG in that region if they moved up.

Any Mason or LaSalle wrestlers feeling disgruntle or confuse are welcome to come over to the Perkins on Nilles Rd., off of Route 4 and talk it over some pancakes. Perkins have the best pancakes.

Well, Toledo St Francis won it twice when there was only one division in Ohio (mid-60's) - so that would kind of qualify them under the "..has ever won" category.

Ok to clarify since OC wants to be technical, since the OHSAA has had divisions, no team outside of Northeast Ohio has ever won the big school division. I think that dates back to the late 70s?

I made a few changes in each division. I also expanded to the Top 12 for the team rankings.

Made a few changes in each division today.

D1:
*I moved Donathan back to Mason after receiving an email today
*A few weight changes at 145 and 152 (Added Zach Dunn at 152 for LaSalle since I was asked to change Donathans school back to Mason).

D2:
*I hear the Muldrew's will be at Steubenville -- I previously had them at Bridgeport in D3 (I knew they were on the move, just didn't know where)
*Frizzell and Muhammed dropped out at 120 and 126 due to the Muldrews moving divisions

D3:
*Two new wrestlers are ranked (Kind of) at 120 and 126 due to the Muldrew vacancies. Roth (SMCC) has been ranked previously at 120, he is back in the top 15.
