Any appealing scrimmages to see coming up? I know Hamilton has Miamisburg this Saturday night at home 5 & 7 and the CCDS on 8/5 at home at 5 & 7pm.

SUA has 11 Seniors on their varsity roster and SW is definitely one of them.

Summit is still missing a few of their players! Should be a fun team to watch this year!

I have been told they can be rostered with the DA but as long as she does not play for the DA she can play high school. I think this what's happening wit SW.

I believe that Ohio HS rules say a player cant be rostered on any other team while on a HS roster.

Just about every HS player is on the roster for their Fall/Spring club team already.

Not quite. Most committed to a team, but technically not registered yet.

Not quite sure what the rules are. But, SW was is uniform and is a member of her high school team. Hasn't played yet, she is still rehabbing? Good luck to her.

You are rostered on a club team before the high school season ends. College Showcase registrations take place during the high school season. The OHSAA rule is that you cannot train or play in a game for another team during the high school season. This includes college ID camps

They do have Walsh Jesuit ranked high for those D1 ers. See you are still smarting from playoff loss last year. It was the best game of the year. McNick was the toughest opponent. Did win state & GCL North last year, possibly reason for ranking. You are right they mean nothing and are pre-season but it is nice to get recognition. The group has some strong talent but will have to wait see how it plays out on the field.

No not smarting. McNick and Alter were pretty even someone had to win. My response may have come out wrong. There are some on this board who belittle any team thats not D1 as not possibly good enough. It was meant primarily at them. I don't have a dog in the fight any longer. I wish McNick and Alter the best.

Does this mean El-Nagger is not playing for Mason this fall?

She's still hurt and not able to play for anyone. Not even the best player on the SUA squad. They should make a deep run barring injury and coaching.

Can you be rostered injured with the DA and your high school team?

DA doesnt disqualify you from playing HS.

OHSAA disqualifies you from doing DA and HS.

So yes, right now she can be rostered on both. She will have to decide when shes healthy and can play.

There are several girls in Indiana and Ohio who are registered for both DA and their HS teams. The DA does not preclude girls from playing HS officially.

how do you register for a high school team? so the da position is that you can do both so like play for your hs team in the fall and then rejoin the da team once your season is over thats good to know was unaware thank you, just goes to show you how much dis info is out there people were saying you could not do both

The Cincinnati DA website still says that the players are not allowed to play high school soccer. However, it does say that they can play other high school sports. The US DA website says that the a player cannot play high school soccer without written permission from the DA staff.

From a practical standpoint, it would be very difficult for a DA team to allow a player to play for her respective high school team in the Fall and join the DA team after the season is finished. First, it ties up a roster spot for half the DA season. Second, it sets a precedent where other kids would want to do the same thing, making it impossible to field a full DA team in the Fall. Third, it plays havoc on team chemistry and team development.

The DA established the Pre-DA for kids that still wanted to play high school soccer. The Pre-DA teams are essentially MRL/National League teams (the old KHA Red/CUP Gold Teams) that start their club seasons in November.

I don't think it's that difficult. I know at least 4 girls on the Indy Fire DA team in my daughter's age group who played HS in the fall. I'm assuming that if a quality player is that good they have the leverage to play HS.
