I have been looking forward to this one for a while. Had a feeling these teams would meet. I'll take the Falcons in a close one.

Depends on the health of Clinton Massie IMO. Read that they were on their 4th and 5th string RBs vs Valley View. I'll go with Massie 28-21

Massie backs should be fine by Friday. Hope the weather is not a factor. Good luck to both teams. Two rivals meet again in what should be a great Regional Final.
Go Falcons!!

there is no drop off at the massie running back position...massie's 4th 5th and 6th backs are just as good as the top three....deep position.......Wyoming made some serious adjustments vs indian hill in playoffs by shutting them out...week 10 Wyoming won 31-24...so coaching staff did a nice job preparing...should be a good one.....I like MASSIE in this one.....

I agree there is little drop off from the backs. These boys have run this for several years . I will say Christian Poynter is a special back. If he can not make the field Friday it will make the Falcons need to dig deeper.

Wyoming may still be a year away, but I can't get over Massie losing to Goshen.

Agree with the Massie RB assertion. I saw them in the first playoff matchup. Looks like they have 5 RB's who can get it done. I couldn't tell the difference when they switched.

Goshen with their full deck of players was very good...probably bigger physically than massie in the trenches and Strunk is a dude. They would've been 10 0 had he not gotten hurt Id say and win a game or two in the playoffs.

Massie wins by 13

Massie didnt play typical CM football against Goshen...and Goshen was amped for the game...the entire community was. Had the CM team showed up thats been playing the last 4 weeks, they win by 3 TDs...or more.

Anyone know what Wyoming does on offense?

Who are the studs on both sides of the ball?

How many players play both ways?

How strong was their schedule this season?

After what I saw out of Massie against Valley View last Friday,.....these young men have a legit shot at a State Championship. They seem to be getting better and are playing very physical on both sides of the ball. Their combination of big bruisers and fast speed guys in the backfield make it very hard to defend. They can run it down your throat or they can gash you with speed. Wyoming better be in shape and able to play 4 quarters against this Massie Unit. Valley View looked like they really got tired and beat down in the 4th quarter against Massie. It was one of the nastiest, hard-hitting dogfights of a game that I can remember watching Massie play in a long time (last 20 years)....

Hope these Cowboys got their saddles strapped up tight and your boots dug deep into those stirrups!! Its going to be a long hard ride!!

On Wyoming

2016 Wyoming beat Valley View in the 2nd round but lost to Alter in the 3rd (Alter beat Massie the week earlier). But 2016 Wyoming was pass-first with Andrew Marty at QB (he's now at Northwestern). Most of Wyoming talent now is in the Soph/Jr class, so coming into 2017 some fans were thinking this team was a year away. I expect a low scoring game that favors Massie's size, but close enough that a key turnover could give it to Wyoming.

Wyoming has a great football tradition. They will be tough to beat no doubt. From what I have read having not seen the Cowboys they seem to be a primarily run team this year. This seems to play into the Falcons defensive strengths. Will they change their offense now or go with strength against strength? Should be a fun game for the regional final.

Wyoming defense will be killer next year. They returned like 8-9 guys back and most were all sophomores. I think Massie wins this year 21-17

D IV Region 16 Championship: Clinton-Massie (11-1) vs Wyoming (12-0)

Massie is very good and Wyoming was pretty overrated. The best three running backs and the best three defensive players in DIV Southwest District were definitely not on the Wyoming side of the ball tonight. Massie is good and getting better. Impressive Win.

Curious to see the time of possession.

Massie offense had to of had the ball 75% of the game.
