Cool That is surprising.

Maybe Moore sold his house too early. Good Luck Tigers.

We did the Perry/New Albany Regional Championship game last year.

Massillon fans you can watch it here.

Apologize for the audio as there was trouble in the conversion process.

The Tigers had better clean up the personal fouls AND the blocking on the punt team, an opportunistic team will take advantage of that.

Excellent post. We're enjoying the ride from this very young team.

Good Luck Massillon from a Big Red fan. Hope your band gets to play "Hold that Tiger" as many times as I had to hear it back in the '60s and '70s.

Great post Foster. Thanks. Many great Tigers-Big Red games in the past. Hopefully, the schools can play in the future.

So many on this topic that have NOTHING to do with Massillon or New Albany. I wish they would go back to the site of their own team, oops they don’t have one nor is that team playing this week. Back under the bridge trolls you have nothing about the game to contribute.

The OHSAA. I don’t think anybody starts selling tickets before Wednesday. Put the squeeze on pre-sale tickets that the schools get a portion of, more sales at the gate, which the schools get nothing.

The running game is why the Tigers are in the regional championship, over the last 3 games they have averaged
51 att
192 yds
3.8 per att.
If that continues that will keep them in every game and combined with the passing attack makes them a threat to make it to the title game.
But of course we will be “running clocked” in the semi final. LMAO !!!
Massillon is not tougher than Hilliard Bradley.

Hilliard Bradley beat three D1 postseason qualifiers. Massillon, by contrast, beat one.

As far as your comment concerning HB's D-1 opponents, who cares? You can't prove your statement that Bradley would beat the Tigers, period. Just curious, why the heck do you care???

And nothing can prove “Massillon is the toughest team New Albany will face [sic.]” If you’re such an absolutist, perhaps you should’ve called that out.

Forgive me for interrupting the nuanced exchange between the New Albany and Massillon fans on this thread.

/

New Albany is very Jekyll-and-Hyde. They’ll lose one or two games that are complete eyebrow raisers, but they’ll also beat a team you wouldn’t expect them to. To make the regional finals for the second year in a row proves that they are a very well-coached team. Even though NA lost 6-17 last year, I think some Perry fans would agree that NA plays hard and is well-coached. If Massillon wins, and the Tigers have a fine team this year, they’re more than deserving. Massillon could win this by two scores. Regardless of how mediocre this region may have been, NA and Massillon are the last men standing. NA didn’t get here by accident, and like Massillon they’ve played a handful of tough opponents. Honestly, I think we can agree that Massillon has played a much tougher schedule... but the “team X hasn’t faced a tougher team than team Y” is susceptible to dead-ending when “I don’t agree, and here’s why” is met with “well you don’t know that.”

Watching the Tigers this year has been a lot of fun. Before and then after the loss to Mentor, many were condemning them to the trash heap. A few folks, myself included, said let the kids play and see how they respond. I think they have responded quite well, and I personally hope they can continue their run. Best of luck Friday. Go Tigers !

Its truly surprising that so many people are, not only picking the Tigers, but picking them to win somewhat handily. This is such a young team and although I don't know a lot about NA, they've been in this situation a lot recently.

Obviously NEOH is better represented on this board, and most don't know where Albany is on a map. But I suspect for many of our "followers" picking Massillon to win is more about "I have a very sick feeling in the pit of stomach that they will" lol.

Tigers 28-14
NA keeps it close with the ball control wing-t but Tigers pull away in the 4th. With the way these 2 run the ball it might be over by 9.

You are selling a lot of local posters short. There are people that would love to see the Tigers win. I have so many comments that would be funny but really. Why not? Massillon can't be any younger than New Albany. It should be a good game with Massillon pulling away in the 4th. Good Luck Tigerpaw.

LOL

Maybe the problem is in not knowing that Massillon is playing New Albany rather than Albany.

LOL

Maybe the problem is the irrelevance of this and the relevance that you have such a pitiful life you spend the entire day trolling Massillon threads. Take a look in the mirror, loser. You don't think that maybe a mile walk around your neighborhood wouldn't do you any good? Well? Troll?
