Finneytown is not going to beat Hughes. Hughes beat Deer Park 42-7. Also, I do think Taylor can beat Norwood.

True but it was 14-7 in the third quarter and I think Finneytown may be a little better than Deer Park this year. If I had to wager I would pick Hughes though.

Taylor vs Norwood
Summit vs Reading
Wyoming vs CHCA

I think they can win all except for Taylor. My guess is Finneytown and Deer Park could win because Hughes and New Miami both aren't very good but you never know with those teams. Reading is probably another toss up and they could have a tough time stopping Johnson but it is a game they can win. Obviously, Wyoming and CHCA is the premier game of the week and should be a playoff type atmosphere. I believe the game is on Star 64.
Finneytown can beat Hughes? Are you serious? Yes they lost to reading who is better than people think but come on now. Hughes Best player De'zion Coleman didnt play last game. He had 206 rec yards and 3 touchdowns vs Deer Park. Finneytown is also worse than Deer Park. This game will be a running clock.

Reading is not very good and neither is Finneytown and neither is Hughes. I said they could win because you never know with bad teams. But I also said if I had to wager I would take Hughes. I am not sure a Hughes team that is coming off a 2-8 season should feel so confident.

2-8 season was 2016...This is 2017. I'm sure you know nothing about the Hughes program and have not seen them play. Not sure how you can call a team "bad" when you know nothing about them lol. Give me a score prediction. I'm telling you this is a running clock. I don't have a dog in this fight but I'm a fan of SW Ohio football and just by looking at what Hughes did to Deer Park (who is better than Finneytown) it only makes sense.

2015 - 3-7
2014 - 4-6
2013 - 2-8
2012 - 4-6

They have been bad for a while.

Finneytown was even worse last year. I don't think they scored after week 5 and lost every game except for 1 by a running clock. They have lost to 2 bad teams this year and will probably lose to Hughes this week. Could they win? Maybe. But I will take Hughes 32-6.

Taylor down 44-0. I vastly underrated how bad Taylor is this year. Because Norwood is not even remotely a good football team. 0 points in 3 games so far...let's hope Taylor can just get on the board before the game is over.

They did finally score. Female kicker got the XP.

28-14 Wyoming wins. Both teams are really good. The Cowboys ran the ball much better than the Eagles and were +2 in the turnover battle. Both teams will probably make deep runs this November.

Finally some conference games

Finneytown @ Mariemont
Reading @ Deer Park
Taylor @ Wyoming
Indian Hill @ Madeira

No great matchups this week. Probably will see 4 blowouts this week. Wyoming could win by 100 if they wanted. Mariemont game could be somewhat closer if Mariemont's QB is still out.

MM, Reading, Wyoming and IH are winners.

Wyoming may just hang 100 on Taylor. Silly Taylor, don't poke the bear.

I believe Finneytown's losing streak is now the longest in Ohio. Springfield Greenon won tonight; they hadn't won a game since week 9 of 2013.

Finneytown has been really bad for awhile now. Haven't won since Week 6 of 2014 and have been outscored 174-1173 in that time. They seem to be a little bit better this year (compared to last), but still they are nowhere near being an okay team.

These last couple of years have been uniquely bad for sure, but good football's been a rarity at Finneytown. There's been one playoff season in the history of the school, I think? And I can't think of a single league championship, going back to the old HCL.

In the old days soccer was the primary fall sport (is there a single other school, anywhere, where that was true in the 70s?) and it siphoned off student interest and many good athletes. Is it just inertia from those days? Lack of success and lack of interest leading to a weak youth program etc.? But it seems to me there's been enough turnover in the community that they should have been able to overcome it by now.

Mariemont at Madeira

Deer Park at Taylor

Wyoming at Finneytown

Reading at Indian Hill

WEEK 5 think the Mair vs madeira game will be the best matchup up others look like a blow out. Taylor Ftown battle of the bottom

Reading might have a puncher chance against IH. It depends on how the line does. Reading ave about 240 across the front. They have some team speed too.

Wyoming can name the score.
Deer Park should win comfortably.
Indian Hill will win but it will be closer than some think.
Mariemont wins a close one.

Limiting factors for Madeira could be there best lineman sat out last week with a broken finger and there Rb has been banged up since the 1st week.

Somewhat agree with this prediction, but Mariemont is pretty good against the run so I think it will be a close game even if MM QB doesn't play. If he does play and is healthy, I think MM wins by two or three scores. Good set of receivers and no one on Madeira can stay with the big kid receiver who is like 6' 4" 230 and fairly fast.

Some decent matchups this week

Mariemont @ Indian Hill - I think it'll be close, but IH will win by 10-14

Deer Park @ Wyoming - Wyoming by 40+

Taylor @ Finneytown - I don't really know, but I'll take Taylor by 14

Madeira @ Reading - Should be a close game, Madeira by 10

By the way, what's up with the Thursday games this week? I believe both the MM-IH and the DP-Wyoming games are on Thursday.

Wyoming by as many as they want
Taylor by 2 TD
Madeira Reading is a good matchup toss up IMO

Wyoming has a decent-sized Jewish population, and Friday night is the beginning of Yom Kippur. They typically play on Thursday when Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur fall on a Friday evening.
