Pleasant is very tough against the run. It is pass defense where they run into trouble. If all you do is run the ball against Pleasant you are going to have a long night.

This will be where Eastwood proves themselves. This should be a close game.

Genoa seemed to be able to run the ball well in week 11.

Though it was a year ago, Eastwood ran the ball very effectively against Pleasant last year too.

I don't know, Archbold rushed for almost 200 yards without their leading rusher. I'm not sure how Pleasant stays with Eastwood. But you never know I guess.

Well, just in the past 3 weeks we've had:

Swanton 33 Archbold 27 4 OT's

Pleasant 28 Archbold 24.....Pleasant TD in the last minute

Eastwood 48 Swanton 0

Based on that, I'm going with Eastwood 35-14

Swanton/Archbold is a tough one. That was played in a monsoon all night.

Eastwood will be led by sophomore fullback Jaden Rayford who has rushed for 1,750 and scored 30 touchdowns. He is accompanied by 2 other backs who have been suitable replacements after the Eagles lost 2 starters (one in week 1 and one in week 8 to season ending injuries, both of whom were all-Ohio selections last year).

Eastwood defense is fast and swarms to the ball. They have 4 players with over 75 tackles on the year. Teams have struggled running the ball all year against the Eagles. Genoa's Edwards, who ran for over 2,000 yards on the year, was held to 45 yards against the Eastwood defense earlier this season. The Eagles seem to be a little suspect against the pass, but their D-Line is constantly putting pressure on the opposing QB.

Should be a good one Friday night, hopefully we avoid the rain.

The only way you beat this Eastwood team is to force them into throwing the ball. Even losing a couple all ohioans they have several playmakers and the Sophomore Reyford is probably the best of them all. I dont see Pleasant winning this one.

You know Genoa was without their standout middle linebacker and tight end that game, right? And Genoa still racked up over 250 rushing yards on Pleasant that night...

Hard to compare scores, especially at this point. Friday's game will be within 10 points either way.

I am thinking a 24-14 or 28-21 type of game.

I was actually just mocking tcgobucks logic. I too expect a close game either way.

This one is going to be a slugfest. Windy maybe some rain. Really comes down to who's going to be more physical up front, and who limits the mistakes.

I don't see either team scoring over 30 points.

Eastwood 24 Pleasant 17

Going with Eastwood 21 Pleasant 14.

I believe it will come down to who turns the ball over, and which team can prevent big plays.

Pleasant doesn't pass...period. They got a receiver behind the defense last week to beat Archbold in the last minute of the because they were force to. Pleasant can stop the run, regardless of the yardage totals given up the last two weeks, it was between the 20s. They had many 3rd and 4th down stops to turn the ball over on downs. They do have a very good kicker if the game comes down to that.

As I said on another board,
The word for the night was run. Pleasant could not run, nor could they stop Eastwood's run. Ballgame.

Dang, I really thought based on all the talk on here that Pleasant would at least find the end zone a couple times lol. Congrats to Eastwood....haven't seen a run like this thru Region 18 (or Region 14 in past years when a lot of these teams were D4)....hope they can keep it rolling

What grade are you in to make a comment like that? Go to your safe zone, suck your thumb and hug your teddy bear..

I see the kid deleted the post that set me off.

Was really happy to see the sportsmanship from both sides the other night. Both teams helping each other up then entire night. Both programs are class acts with great culture. pleasant will be back next year with a lot of young talent returning. Hope Eastwood can keep it going this weekend.

Don't know anything about South Range, but I look for a good game with Eastwood coming out on top.
