Game 5 is usually won by the series winner.

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Smith and Korver seem to be the x factors. When one, but especially both are on, it seems the Cavs play well and usually win.

It's amazing how different this team looks on both ends of the floor when the team as a whole exerts some effort on the defensive end. Kyle Korver - DPOY!

Tough to bet against LeBron OR Brad Stevens in a game 5 tiebreaker, but one has to give. I'll take LeBron in an extraordinarily competitive game

It should be a war, at least for the first half. Hopefully it's a game that goes down to the wire with a Cavs win.

They will see the worst of the Boston fans, that's for sure. Circle the wagons

They have been great. We saw this JR in 2016, but Korver has been a pleasant surprise to me.

You also need to add George Hill to that list. I'd even say that he's helped JR. Hill being healthy has made all the difference in keeping the ball moving without turnovers, and he seems to instantly recognize when to drive to the basket. Defensively I think his pressure on the ball is huge, too. Doesn't get totally smoked on switches unless Baynes gets away with picking him up and carrying him across the lane.

The thing that jumps out to me in games 3 and 4 is that LeBron is actually playing WITH his teammates, his teammates are not playing FOR him. You see first quarters and first halves where it isn't LeBron hero ball. He's going to get his 30-40 points, regardless of how he gets them. But the engagement in allowing other players to get involved has made the difference.

Now, the other factor is that Boston is simply a completely different team on the road than at home. I really look for this to be a 7 game series, with all home teams winning. I just don't see the Cavs playing well enough to steal one in Boston.

It's amazing how inconsistently that happens with this team. It makes them the most frustrating team in recent Cavs history.

One thing to consider, and this is the reason that I now feel Friday will be LeBron's last home game as a Cavalier...look at the lineup. Clarkson, Hood and Nance are now scrub players in this series. LeBron has gone old school, playing only the veterans, there is no way he's coming back to play with the kids. LeBron does not do that.
Can LeBron, Love, Thompson, Smith all hang in there, playing 38-40+ minutes each playoff game? When does the younger Celtics take over.

I think as long as the Cavs push it to a game 7, I trust LeBron to win it

Starting to get the feeling Boston wins game 5, Cleveland wins game 6, and then LeBron pulls it out at Boston in game 7 for an epic 8th straight finals appearance

In the third game the Cavs played great 3 point defense, denying the Celts the opportunity to even take an unguarded shot. The Cavs continued this in the first quarter of the fourth game, then seemed to abadon it the middle of the second quarter and the rest of the game, allowing the C's to start hitting their 3s and get back in the game.

Well, I think this^ far-too-typical dynamic is where H2's prediction for game 4 comes from. I like keeping the foot on the pedal at both ends like the Warriors used to do, but I'm not playing 105-115 games a year.

It's scarier to me when a team is so 3 dependent as the Cavs are, but there are more drives and cuts to the hoop lately - albeit with no Draymond and Durant around against Boston.

LeBron is 3rd all-time leader in playoff game assists. Trails Magic Johnson and John Stockton.

You will argue it is due to how many games he has played. OK. LeBron is 7th all-time in assists per playoff game. Everyone ahead of him is a HOF point guard.

He ALWAYS plays with his teammates.

In 2 1/2 games in Boston, Hill and Smith have combined for 15pts on 5-28 shooting.

Average role players are notorious for playing great at home and terrible on the road. As that is what each team relies heavily upon, its no surprise the home team has dominated every game

83-71 then missed 2 3’s and a layup by James, so many wasted opportunities. They better figure it out on Sunday.

This series is like Loyola vs. Michigan while the other series is Kansas vs. Villanova.

An old team with no rest, missed ft’s and a ton of missed shots off the front of the rim. It’s going to be the same problem Sunday, guess we have to hope for a game 7 energy boost and maybe Hill and Smith will make the trip.

They live and die by the 3, so... time to get streaky. On the flip side, I don't see one (or two) more sub-par performances out of LeBron.

Have we time traveled back to 2010? 2-4 and out of the playoffs against the Celtics and LeBron skips town? Say it ain't so.

Only one line out and that's from FiveThirtyEight, not Vegas, and they say Cleveland -4 on Friday.
