Having researched the applicants to my best ability, I believe I've found the very best. Andy Cauley was recently named D!!! Ohio Coach of the year, and is on the ups! He could prove to be a very astute pick!

If someone was state COY D1,2,3 or 4 they can coach. Similar to Jackson with Fuline - good coach from a smaller school. That turned out pretty well. If he is passionate and will be there for a long time I think he would be a good fit.

Andy Cauley Ohio Coach of the Year 2016 D3

It should be noted that the last Greater Columbus area coach McKinley hired was Dave Hoover who led the Bulldogs to back to back State Championships. Centerberg was very average before coach Cauly. He builds winners. :-)

Irish60 will become famous soon enough
I don't know enough about the candidates to hazard a guess. But IMO it would be interesting to expand the question in the thread for those in the know to "Who do you want to get it; and who do you think will get it?"

A Chet Harper hire would be great for the rest of the Fed, they could sit back and watch McKinley implode.
This is why fans dont hire coaches.

I don't think that Canton McKinley has or will implode with Harper being the coach. I just hope they hire someone who's main focus is on player development.

"Centerberg was very average before coach Cauly. He builds winners. :-)"

Centerburg has been a quality program in the area for quite a few years. Coach Simpson had many very good teams. Can you please explain how Cauley builds winners? How long was he there before he resigned to spend time with his family??

No, hes the JV head coach and please dont hire him, we want him to take over varsity when Mark Fisher decides to step down.

Hazard is a little too rough around the edges for most people but he relates well to the kids and gets
the most out of every single player he coaches. Stresses defense.
I really like him but I dont think hes ready for McKinley.

How many league titles have they won?

Can you explain why he was Ohio Coach of the Year only 2 years ago?

I'm not questioning Coach Cauley's ability to coach. Saying he "builds winners" is kind of a stretch considering he was only there for 2 years. The program that he built went 6-16 this past year. Some may say he saw the writing on the wall and decided to bail.
