Issues at ECNL

Actual news not hearsay from having lunch with a coaches 3rd cousin twice removed. LOL

"We would like to thank all of you for your commitment to your players, your teams and to our club. For the last several years the soccer landscape has been changing and evolving. This makes it necessary for clubs to continually evaluate and make decisions to create the optimum path for the players. Our club is no exception where this is concerned. Since our inception we have often been in the position where it has been necessary to make important decisions regarding the direction for our players.

With that in mind, the time has come that we must make another important decision regarding the Girls’ side of our club. In the last few years we have been a part of several leagues that often competed against each other. We feel that this conflict is not conducive to our players’ development. A new league is being formed, Girls FDL (Frontier Development League), which includes all DA clubs in Texas…and we were asked to be part of this league. After careful consideration, and taking into account the flexibility of the FDL player in regard to the following;

1 - Development Academy (DA) pathway
2 – Exposure to the DA training and match environment
3 – Top College exposure
4 – Opportunity to play High School Soccer
5 – Coordinated match schedule with DA
6 – Meaningful Games

In addition to the FDL league, teams will be allowed to play in USYS National League, Regional Championships, and the National Series State Cup. This comes on the heels of US Youth Soccer's announcement for new league structure and unveiling of its the new US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program for high-level competitive leagues that will kick-off in the 2018-19 season.

…we have arrived at the decision to commit to DA and the FDL league for teams that played previously in Girls ECNL league. For teams that participate in local leagues, there will be no change.

We enjoyed being part of the Girls ECNL for several years and would like to thank all of the people involved with the ECNL organization as well as the people we met along the way including clubs, players, parents and coaches.

Going forward for 2018-19, our club will participate in DA and FDL (Girls) leagues. The clubs included in the FDL are as follows; Lone Star (Austin), FC Dallas (Dallas), Dash (Houston), Solar (Dallas), Energy (Oklahoma) and the Dallas Texans.

Please direct any questions to Hassan Nazari at (972) 741-6452.

Sincerely,
Dallas Texans Soccer Club"

Best thing for The Texans !
That power city is totally dominated by The Dallas Sting and Texans lost the majority of the good players to the Sting and that is a fact Jack !

When you cannot be the best , Then you take the next best thing

The rest of the country is running from the DA as fast as they came.

Good Luck Texans you are going to need it !

So who has announced they are leaving the DA since it appears you know? As of now has any announced they are leaving the DA? The answer is no. Hearsay is all you have at this point. Will some leave yes they more than likely will. Will some join yes they will and I predict that who ever joins you call a 2nd rate club and any that leave you will call great clubs that will have weakened the DA it's what you do because you so predictable. We will find out soon enough of who is in and who is out of both league's but who knows what the players will chose. Same may switch clubs to a DA or ECNL club depending upon what the player feels is best for them and after all isn't that a good thing?
