Other big news from D2 is State Semi-Finalist Meadowbrook and perineal regional power Fairland, moved down to D3.

But it is up to the school administration to verify the addresses and confirm the moves were actually made using documentation and physical inspections.

Grove City Christian, the obvious recruiting powerhouse that they are (lol), moved up to Division III.

All they have to do for the 2018-19 school years is keep 36-38 players on the three levels (frosh, JV and varsity) instead of the traditional 45 (15 on each level) and for 2019-20 they are right back in DII.

I can't wait FOR that announcement.
I don't understand. If ASVSM truly wants to be recognized as the best, why would they not want to play D1

In Penn - Sharon Kennedy elected to move to the top class - I believe a jump of 5 divisions. They won a small school title this year by like 40 points.

Buchtel will have to fend off other opportunists. I'm not sure who their biggest threat would be, but Id guess Tallmadge and Louisville. I'm not sold on Norton. Coventry would have been able to capitalize two years ago, probably not so much next year, they probably graduate too much in Skaggs, Wallace, Vanadia, and Sibley. I don't know much about the situation with Alliance.

Thats hilarious. Its basically a loophole in the CB rule.

exactly right. But what if those inspections only happen during basketball season and not the whole year? All they have to do is go to a house and see a bed. Case closed they must live there.

It's more than a bed. Eligibility is established before November. With new students changing schools there is paperwork. The kid has to be enrolled in your school and papers filed with the athletic department and then sent to OHSAA. This does not happen over night. And that is just what happens once the kid is enrolled. The parents have to show proof of living expenses, rent, electric bill or something with the address and their name on it being responsible for the location. If it is a custodial situation, that has to be verified and proven on top of all the others. I'm sure there as other things that need to be done but the bottom line is if someone wants to break the rules they either need a school that is not thorough and honest OR they have to go to great lengths to get it done.

Philo's Finest: Fairland lost all 5 starters from last year's regional team, and with what they have coming back, it's highly unlikely that they will make the regionals 3 years in a row, even though they will be D3. Wheelersburg and Eastern Pike are probably the SE district favorites to reach the Sweet 16 in Athens in D3.
