Might as well let Kirkland play to winner of R24 for the title.

There will be a good team or two get left out of the playoffs in this region.

Unlike region 28, which may not have more than 4 or 5 good teams in it.

Just when Troy Christian starts getting the train rolling, it gets reset into this Juggernaut of a region.

Small privates that do not recruit like TC, CB is probably a complete disaster for them.

I hate that 24 now is too top-heavy with several great teams...that means some really good teams that would otherwise have a shot at a deep run into playoffs will be skunked. I know that is so frustrating to them.

There will be about 8 caliber playoff teams that miss this year. I feel like 8-2 is not safe to get in this year.

I see two should be D5 teams in this line up. Thanks to CB, they are now in D6. Their base enrollment is larger than some in D5's base enrollment. SMH. One was a D5 playoff team 2 season ago.

True. I believe Coldwater and Marion Local both belong in DV. That would leave R24 wide open, and it would be a wild and woolly year...lots of excitement! Mechanicsburg and Covington would maybe have a shot at a title, without having to beat the titans of the MAC. Wish they'd categorize teams sensibly, but that ain't gonna happen.

Marion Local and Coldwater are obviously better football programs than the other teams in division 6. With that said why should they be D5?

Don't you think those two being in DV would be much more equitable? They could compete just fine in V--you've seen that. I just think it gives "almost" teams a shot. I remember being happy when ML won VERY close games with M'Burg and Covington--we won both by the skin of our teeth--but I really felt for those outstanding teams. Year after year their dreams were smashed by the MAC. And they were good--if they had beat ML both of them would have won state, no doubt. I know there's a formula--and the numbers are the numbers, yeah yeah, but I wish things made more sense. Not gonna happen, I know...

What M'Burg game are you referring to? If it is 2015 when ML won 9-7, ML lost to Kirtland that year in the state championship game, do not think it would have been no doubt that M'Burg would have won state that year.

Don't forget about Kirtland. Personally I think Coldwater is going to be down quite a bit this year.

Right now, the numbers are down a bit and will continue to be down for a few seasons. They'll still have kids, they just don't look as deep.

I agree, Marion Local will be tough once again. No one from the MAC is liking this new alignment much. The rest of the state might, though.
