With the 2017 season completed, it's time to turn to the 2018 season.
Please post your team's potential returning starters for offense and defense...

I'll start with Tallmadge:
Returning Offense:
QB - Sam Seeker (JR)
FB - Mike Yamokoski (JR)
TE - Jason Grassie (JR)
WR - Ritchie Eyre (JR) (should be starting RB next year)
OL - Connor Franks (JR)
Returning Defense:
DE - Jason Grassie (JR)
LB - Mike Yamokoski (JR)
S - Ritchie Eyre (JR)
CB - Evan Teeling (SO)
CB - Luke Thomas (SO)
Tallmadge is losing most of their offensive and defensive lines from last season. They were a big part of the team's success and will be very hard to replace.

Looks like a great opportunity for young players and transfers to earn starting positions.

If you have access to your team's All-Suburban League players, please post them here. Unfortunately, it is VERY difficult to get the All-League players in any sport for the Suburban League.

Before sustaining injury, Grassie was also starting DE.

Aurora is losing a large majority on both sides of the ball. 23 seniors are graduating. Will be an interesting year.

It is unbelievable that in this day and age a league with the size and pedigree of the SL doesn't have a website with this kind of information.
I have no clue what kind of adminstration personnel the league has beyond each individual athletic department, but I can't think of many more useful roles than someone collaborating with each of the schools to make all of the league info available online for players, coaches, parents and fans.

What does Highland return? Will we see them in an R6 playoff game, yet again?

In all fairness, that game with Ellet was scheduled a couple years ago. Falls is our main rival so they will always be on the schedule. However, i dont like the Norton and Garfield games

Revere selects James Boyeas as its football coach
Quote:
Revere has selected James Boyeas as its football coach, pending board approval at a meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
Boyeas, 34, is an eighth grade teacher at Saint Jerome Elementary School in Cleveland. He comes to Revere with experience as a player and coach in high school and college.
Boyeas replaces Mike Murphey, who resigned in November after five seasons as Revere coach.

How is Kent Roosevelt looking for next year? School sports have been down lately. Kent needs to start putting some winners on the field.

Just bumping this to the top. Not getting a good feeling of how next year will play out. Seems the league needs to replace a large number of starters compared to past years.

Think it will take time. He'll find coaching in Suburban League is a giant step from PTC county competition.

The PTC has gotten better but pales in comparison to the SLA. Too many good PTC teams are that way because of a couple of players. In the SLA, you need those good players plus the role players. At Kent, it's usually just a couple stars and not much else. I don't see things changing.

Barberton loses O.C. Bobby Nickol to be the new H.C. of St. V.! Made me sick when I found out. No loyalty to his home town. He will continue to teach at Barberton, but I don’t expect that to be much longer.

Why should he have loyalty to his hometown? THis is his profession and he feels this is an advancement of his career why not?

Any other team would have been fine, St. V. feels more like a stab in the back with how much they recruit Barberton kids.

I think Highland will have a very strong team to compete with in this league next year. Aurora is always solid. Barberton probably down a bit. Any thoughts on Copley? or the other teams?
