Actually, Madison Martinez of Gahanna Lincoln has the Ohio leading time of 2:14.35 according to Ohio milesplit

From what I can see Anderson held out both Sullivan girls who are returning state placers. I think it was a good idea. No point in ruining a good senior year for one by getting hurt in a meet that means nothing at the end of the day.

When I saw the Jason Lindsey Invitational on Saturday, it brought back a flood of memories about Jason. I was at the state cross country meet in 1983 when he won the boys title, then came back in 1984 to win the girls xc title becoming the first DI coach to win both the boys and girls state championships. http://live.finishtiming.com/#/results/meet/201900210

Centerville's Emma Bucher won the mile at the Volunteer Classic (TN) with a 5:08.67.

Now if we could only get Bush, Ewert, and Bucher to battle it out at the Angela Bizzarri dream mile on Friday May 3rd at Mason. Last year Bush won the event in 4:55.36 with Bucher 2nd in 4:55.66

Contact Solon and invite 2 time 1600 Champ Olivia Howell. She went 4:57 at the Comet Relays Saturday.

Beavercreek with Ewert would be a nice addition to the meet. Just saying.

CometCoach, you have to get Bush, Ewert, and Howell. You owe it to Angela allowing her name for this event.

Ewert usually runs and walks at Penn Relays this weekend.

The showdown will be Beavercreek, Mount DeSales of Maryland, Sarotoga Springs, Fayetteville Manlius and North Rockland (Katelyn Touhy's team) in the DMR.

All 5 have sub 12:00 DMR's. Touhy with the 4:33 capability anchoring. Saratoga already has run 11:44 and is the national leader.

I believe she is also race walking some event

The Angela Bizzarri mile is next weekend May 3rd, not this weekend April 26-27.

Gotcha. Do most teams race 100% the week before the league meets?
I can't imagine too many teams would come down 4 days before their league meet for such a race. Our league meet is usually Tuesday or Wednesday.

Few elite athletes need to run near 100% to win their conference meets. The opportunity to sharpen up with athletes of similar abilities before getting to state/nationals may take priority over resting up before conference meets where they will go unchallenged.

I saw Bridget Franek run 10:15 at Districts in NE OH years ago in the worst weather I ever saw for track.
