Could Moeller go 3-7 this year?

Just happened to look at Moeller's remaining schedule. St Edward, St. Ignatius, and Winton Woods. Yikes! That's a pretty tough by any standards. Can Rodenburg survive another losing year? I imagine some of my old Moeller friends are putting the pressure on for a new coach.

Next 3 opponents are a combined 19-0 going into Saturday's games. I would say 3-7 is real possibility.

You know a program is in trouble when calling for the coaches head hits an all time crescendo.

12-16 in the last 28 games

1-8 in the last 9 GCL games

A second consecutive losing season.

The first losing season was last year.

Another 5-6 game skid looming.

The first 5 game skid was last year.

Maybe a 3 year straight playoff drought in an expanded playoff system.

3 home games and 7 road games.

Asst. coach being dismissed after going after a fan.

Embarrassing to say the least.

Moeller football at an all time low.

It goes on and on.

3-7, yes.
Playoffs...no way.

Three non-winning seasons in a row for a program that hadn't had a losing season in their history 3 years ago.

Something's gotta give, doesn't it?

Not that I'm supporting the coaching staff by any means, but how quickly people forget they lost the 2 best player's to season ending injuries and happen to play possibly the toughest schedule in the country. 4-6 or 3-7 can happen quickly...

Where's Bob Crable and Steve Kloene when you need 'em--tough to survive McBride getting hurt and the difficulty of the schedule--birdog sure listed alot of negative items--how about the stats for Rodenburg's entire tenure--might balance out some of the recent "bad" items!

Being a Moeller alum, this is very frustrating to see. From back to back state champions and still now with all the athletes and DI talent they have, no playoffs or regional champions is not the standard.

Any team that were to lose their 2 best players would have a hard time winning with Moeís schedule.

Including their QB who had thrown 17 TD passes in 4 games...

Yes, I agree. But Moe has let things spiral out of control. Any program would have a tough time winning ballgames but apparent collapse is surprising. It's more than just the coaches tooo

Rodenburg's fault- always has been. He has won state championships in spite of himself. Take away Lippincott, Klonne, and the one who should be coaching this team, Pat M., and he's a glorified cheerleader. They're absolutely the worst coaching staff at making halftime adjustments, they refuse to run traps out of that offense, defense is either out of position or tackles way too high. Now I get to watch again as they take a very talented group and piss another season away. It's all coaching, or more properly, a lack of coaching.

PS- I know I spelled his name wrong. That was intentional. He starts coaching right and I will start spelling his name right.

Losing your quarterback REALLY hurts. Itís THE position you would not want a season ending injury at. Iím just throwing in my two cents guys as Iím not someone following whatís going on in the Cincinnati area but I do know losing impact players (one being your starting qb) is going to hurt any team badly.

Thatís a fair question, anyone know Rodenbergs overall record at Moeller?

Maybe he should retire and Moeller make you the coach.

No doubt, as well as the top defensive player, but this has been going on for years.

lol Akron, I would, but I'm not PC enough. The guy is already out there. His name is Pat McGlaughlin.

3-6 last game WW. If still in the hunt for a #8 playoff spot, expect an upset against them, esp after Elder gives them their first loss. (maybe wishful thinking, but E is getting it together, and M is not done this year: give the backup QB some benefit of learning from the 4 games since he was put it)

x wins D1 if they play their next 8 the way they played the first 7

LS struggles into the 2nd game in the playoffs unless coach Mac figures out how to run his offense with all the good players he has.

From an outside perspective, the coaching is sub par, but the Defense is atrocious, especially the Secondary. Moe should be better than they are, but it's not all coaching.

If Moeller can beat 8 or 9-win WW in Week 10 they have a legitimate shot at the playoffs even being 4-6. Even though they lost to Elder, they're still a full point ahead of Elder in the Harbins at #6.

X fan here, but let's not forget Colerain had X down 14 in the 4th quarter before collapsing. And St. Eds is loaded!

Moe will be 3-6 heading into week 10 vs Winton Wood Peckers. That's a toss-up.
So 3-7 or 4-6 on the year.

I've been quick to criticize your lame attempts at humor, but I have to give you credit for Winton Wood Peckers. That's funny stuff.

Moeller's dchedule was absolutely ludicrous this year. There are currently still 5 undefeated teams on their schedule, and that doesn't even include Lasalle or Elder. Hamilton is the only team on the whole schedule where Moeller should have been a heavy favorite.
