Maumee did very well against Norwalk and was on par with Genoa in yesterday's scrimmage btw

I didn't know that! Give it back. Oh wait, that's south-South End. You can keep it.

Wasn't Sanzenbacher a Maumeeite? Seem to recall another top player on CCHS, more recently was also.

Jake Schneider was an all time great at Maumee. Played QB after Jake Goatley. He signed with and played a couple of years at Tiffin University. When he was QB incidentally, that was the last time Maumee beat P-Burg. His little brother is a DB right now at Maumee. Nice family.

When you are looking at average salaries in Maumee, remember that the Maumee school district encompasses a part of 43614 in Toledo. However, there are big chunks of the Maumee zip code (43537) that are AW and Springfield.

I saw a print out several years ago that showed that Maumee City Schools has the second lowest median household income in the NLL. BG was lowest, which surprised me.
I wonder if fulltime college kids living off campus are included in BG?

River Rd. skews Maumee's median income IMO. There is some real wealth on that road.

Schneider was special. Holley/Dimmerling special.

As a coach kids like that spoil ya. You fool yourself into believing that it is your schemes and play calling but when those types are gone you quickly realize it was all them.

As for the NLL this year I think 4-6 teams got a legit shot.

Sanzenbacher was a River Rd. kid (opposite the River). I thought Kern and Steinmetz were Maumee kids. I believe all three were OLPH in grade school but lived in Maumee. Could be wrong.

Sanzenbacher's dad owned the Parkway Lounge I believe in Maumee, but he did not live in the Maumee School District.

All of the "Lawn" streets in the 43614 (Timberlawn, Midlawn, etc.) east of Heatherdowns and close to the two golf courses are in the Maumee School District. The other part of the 43614 in the Maumee School District are the apartments by the Distillery and the Staghorn/Ryewyck neighborhoods off of Heatherdowns and close to Ragan Woods.

I live in the 43614. I would like to see what Bowsher would look like if ALL of the kids in the 43614 actually went there. I know that in my neighborhood, St. John's, St. Francis and even Stritch are well-represented. I know that several players on St.Francis's last state championship team all lived in the Crossgates neighborhood.

dappling, if Bowsher would ever be able to keep all their kids they'd be like Whitmer. This goes back years.

St. Pats and Joan of Arc used to gold mines. Still are to a degree.

If every kid went to their district school instead of "living with Grandma," or going private, Wootward would be state champs.

Good point, but the numbers I quoted are for the city and not the school district.

Over half of BG's population is college students. Most of them working part-time at best.

"The definition of backhanded refers to a comment that is sarcastic and that isn't as it appears on the surface."

Some people just insist on doubling down on dumb. How many times are you going to make an arse of yourself in one thread?

We've already talked about BG being skewed by college students.

Time for you to leave "bro".

Clay at Maumee Thursday? Whitmer at Springfield Fri. Perrysburg used to scrimmage SJ but they play the Titans this year. So who does everyone else have?

Southview looked much better this year against St. Johns. They gave up a few big pass plays but did a good job holding their own. I'm not sure how that will correlate in the regular season. But I think they will be more competitive this year.

Haven't seen the Irish, other than briefly at Springfield for a 7v7. Heard Hoban manhandeled them and played well last week versus Coffman and Pick Central. At Olmsted Falls Friday.

3 incredibly tough teams. Pickerington Central is loaded this year.

I wouldn't say dominated as BG was able to move the ball, but BG did not look very good.

My gosh I don't think I ever rooted so hard for a kid on the other team. Hope all heads are up, if the Northview receivers can get a better practice, that team is going to put up some numbers. That is one very good passing QB but the receivers found more ways to drop that ball than my relatives the bar check.

Best of luck, stay together as a team and I bet they get it fixed by league.

Was at the Pburg Coffman game. Painful to watch. May be the worst loss since Kregel has been coach. Completely overwhelmed in all areas.

Bowling Green over Rossford 41-34 in overtime. Seemed like it was back and forth all night.
