The Butler Aviators from Vandalia beat us down at Ripken, and I think that they remain undefeated.

Yes, Hiland is 14-0. We (Triway, 12-2) play them tonight at their place.

Is Hiland the only undefeated team left in the state? I see they're 23-0 and have advanced to the District.

Jackson lost to Tallmadge two weeks ago for their only loss.

A week or so ago, a game between Hiland and Jackson was added to the schedule for this Saturday (the 13th). However, because of the weather, Jackson's Sectional final has been postponed from Friday to Saturday. So it'll be interesting to see if the Bears and Hawks find a way to get a game in.

You are probably correct. With the schedule that Fort Recovery plays, there's no way they would be undefeated and not ranked #1.

I have a website format (www.pitmanstats.com) that could do it, but it's very time consuming.

Basketball is tough enough finding complete schedules for every school. Then throw in cancellations due to snow, etc. Baseball is much worse with the rainouts, double-headers turn into single-headers, coaches schedule games almost on a same-day basis... it's incredibly difficult to keep track.

I do it every year just for the PAC-7, and I'd miss 20% of the games if I didn't scour 4 different newspapers every day for box scores.

Seriously, though... I've been doing it for almost 10 years for basketball, about 80 schools per year. You'd be amazed how many schools do not have any kind of full, 22-game schedule available on any web site anywhere. It's really frustrating. And that's not including score updates and reschedule dates. I'm simply talking about posting the schedule itself. Even when every school "had to" use myOHSAA, and now they have Arbiter... the majority don't.

Football is by far the easiest and is still incredibly difficult. They play one game a week for 10 weeks and rarely have cancellations. In baseball and basketball, there are frequent cancellations and double or triple the amount of games.

Additionally, you potentially have 1000s of people at a football game to help submit the scores, basketball usually is in the 100s and baseball is in the dozens.

I wish it were possible but it's an impossible task for baseball. The best thing to do is hope more people start league standings at the beginning of the season and are able to find most of the scores for that league.
