Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers (10/17/17)

Probably one of the biggest regular season games of the year for fan interest due to the offseason moves. Maybe a preview of a conference championship?

So who wins?

Good thing they're not showing that from the original view again.

I'm not a guy to get easily queezy, but damn...

I never saw Kevin Ware's broken leg (others tried to get me to watch it but I refused). I'm guessing this was similar.

It was worse. His bone was sticking fully out of his leg. I literally got sick.

Thank goodness Heyward had tights on or we might have seen more.

I liked the news flash from the woman on TNT- "The Celtic and Cavaliers' doctors have diagnosed Heyward with a broken ankle." Uhhhh, ya think?

This one's right up there with Joe Theisman, Willis McGahee, and Paul George on the cringe-o-meter. Way nasty.....

Better value than LeCharles Bentley ? He had a much lighter contract, but he never made it out of training camp.

Cavs win 102-99.

The most interesting stat from the game is Lebron James with 41 minutes. It is going to be interesting to see all season his number of minutes and number of games played.

Cavs up 16 at the break got sloppy in the 3rd and let them back into the game.

Really thought we were getting OT.

This is the only injury I put on the same level as Ware. I feel horrible for Hayward.

A gruesome injury in real time. Luckily (relative term here) it's a clean fracture on the left ankle. Not including any mental preparedness, he very well could make it back in time for the playoffs.

The Celtics would also be eligible to apply for the Disable Player Exception. It's worth $8.4 million and they have until March 10th to use it. They can also use it in a trade, IF the player(s) being traded for are in the last year of their contract.

Also, outside the 3pt shooting, GREAT game by Celtics Jaylen Brown. Solid defense, 50% shooting, 25 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals. I'm also convinced LeBron is a cyborg. Just crazy he is still putting up performances like he did last night. That spin move was beautiful. I don't like Wade getting more minutes than JR. Rose shot too much, finished the game at -14 on the +/- stat. The Celtics are a good team but that isn't encouraging.

Jayson Tatum had 14 points and a +6 in his 1st NBA game, the Cs future looks very good.

Wade looks old and Rose is erratic, the back court needs Thomas to add some speed to the equation. Also what a difference a year makes, the Cavs shot 5-22 from 3 point range.

The unknown thing at this point is the ligament and muscle damage. Bones don't generally go in the wrong direction without some significant damage to ligaments, tendons and muscle.

Saw on Twitter this morning is there doesn't appear to be ligament or blood vessel damage. Not sure how accurate that is though. Some of the more credible NBA guys were retweeting it.

I hope that's the case. If so, he caught a break (I'll just leave that hanging there).

Boston is not missing the playoffs and be in the lottery. One, it's the freaking Eastern Conference and two, they're still a decent team without Heyward. If Kyrie stays healthy now, he may average 28- 30 points a game.

I was wondering which Cleveland fan would be classless enough to laugh about this injury and itís implications for Irving.
