Wolf was the most highly recruited, so probably him. Volpenhein has the stats but no big school offers to my knowledge. Wolf's stats were against much better competition.

Eliminate the Harrison QB from this list. Saw him head to head against Volpenhein and it wasn't even close.

Wolk, Volpenhein, Dein, King would be my top 4, in that order

Wolf is definitely the best player (Wisconsin commit and performing against great competition) and Volpenhein has had a great season. Prater has also ran the ball well and is only a sophomore. He will be a special player at Wyoming.

He did have a good start to the season--will the leg injury knock McBride out of basketball this year?

Wolf is by far the best QB in the area. Surprised Ohio State is not talking to him. He is super athletic and can really spin the ball. He release is Marino ish' quick.

The second best QB in the area is probably Wyatt Hudepohl. He is the backup for St.X. He is only a sophomore and should start for St.X next season. He has a really strong arm, good feet, and the size. He just needs more game reps.

Not to mention Chase has only played about half the season. The only full games he's played are colerain and elder. Other than those 2 he's probably played a total of 10 second half snaps all year

17/29 149 yards, 2 tds, and no interceptions isn't a bad game, especially since about half of those incompletions were dropped by the receivers.

Wolf is the right answer, but what the Elder QB Bittner has done in limited action deserves mention.

First half the season he was mostly a wildcat QB. He's only started 1 game (Moe) but played the majority of snaps against WW and the 2nd half against X.

His stats YTD include:
752 yards passing (6TD)
403 yards rushing (10 TD)
57 of 87 (65.5%) for 752 yards 6 TD and 1 int and a QB rating of 158.6

Ehh yea he did. We had about 4 or 5 drops in that game and 2 or 3 of them were long touchdowns drops on perfectly well thrown balls. Still he ended up with like 16-26 with 170 yards and two touchdowns, so it's not like he played poorly. What Elder did really well that game was limit him by keeping him off the field.

I was pretty high on McBride too and excited to see him. Unfortunately, with him going down before GCL play it's tough to compare the two. McBride was really unimpressive against us in the half he played, but I won't hold that against him. They were also vastly different quarterbacks which makes it tough. My personal opinion is that Chase is a much better passer, probably the best I've ever seen in high school, but McBride's combination of passing and throwing made him for all intents and purposes equally effective early on in the year. I'm not knocking McBride by saying that Chase is the best quarterback I've seen this year. That's a really high bar.

And I guess it is safe to assume that the 3rd best QB in the entire city of Cincinnati is whoever is starting at QB on the Freshman team for X?

As a Buckeye fan, I am a little nervous about Wolf at Wisconsin. His style is not what Meyer typically looks for but I would take him at Ohio State. He really flashes when you watch him. Kind of like what Jackson does at Fairfield or Hicks did at Lakota West.

Becker from bethel? Heard he is a strong talent. Anderson from New Richmond ive seen and by far the best in that conference. Also heard the Goshen QB and Milford QB are legit as well.

Not yet, but he will be. He can run, he can throw .. oh .. and his brother won St. X a state title last year and is now at Penn St.

Wolf is the best player, but is limited/overshadowed because his team is so good. Volpenhein is having the best season and has been very impressive. Recruiting-wise, MAC schools should be all over this kid and I don't really understand why they're not.

Not to mention he also has 792 yds rushing on 105 attempts and 13 rush TDs

39 total TD's in 8 games.
