Not sure if BAL can make 106, he looked really big at 113+5 this weekend. If he does make it he'll be really tough!

I didn't think it was possible over the summer but I hear that is currently the plan.

All of those kids looked big for the weight classes they intend to make a run at state. My Tapeworm diet cookbook will sell like hotcakes.

Nice lineup, but still don't think Swanton would even come close to Wauseon in the league tournament.

Swanton's line-up will most likely look like this come State duals:

106: Derrick Cook (Fr) (Jr. High State Qualifier)
113: Zach Schaller (Jr) (#11 @113)
120: Trevor Schaller (Sr) (State Qualifier) (#5 @126)
126: Dylan Cook (Sr) (#4 @132)
132: Noah Saunders (Sr)
138:Gage Pachlhofer (Sr) (State Qualifier)
145: Chase Moore (Sr) (#2 @152) (2x State Placer)
152: Ryan Marvin (Jr) (#11 @160)
160: Connor Cass (Fr) (Jr High State Qualifier)
170: Zack Leahey (Sr)
182: Mitchell Reisinger (Sr)
195: Crew Oberheim (Sr) (#14 @195) (State Qualifier)
220: Greg Wilson (Sr)
285: Tommy Lytle (Sr) (#12 @285) (State Qualifier)

Just a better outlook on it, with duals they will move as they please, but guys....this Swanton team is solid in various ways. I believe wauseon will still take a league title, but don't sleep on these swanton boys. They are led by 2x State placer, Chase Moore. But they also have guys like Schaller, Schaller, Cook, Pachlhofer, Oberheim, Wilson (who went undefeated down at disney), and Lytle. Swanton is looking at a lotttttt of placers down at CBus this year guys. I think two guys place Top 4 being in: Cook and Moore. Watch those two. Goodluck Boys!

I thought Tyler Anderson wrestled for Swanton? Haven't saw him in a couple years but was really coming on as a solid wrestler.

Made a quick change at D1 170. I have been hearing all week that Tiric Evans would not be wrestling at Elder, I guess it is now official.

Wow, what happened? This hurts elder's GCL & district chances.
Where might Evans end up?

I made a couple changes in D3 as well. D3 113 -- had 2 kids ranked from the same school, also caught another error at that weight (Frederick should have been ranked, I somehow removed him -- I hear he could end up at 106). Also made changes at 126 and 132, Reeves should have been at 132, not sure if I forgot or if it didn't save -- he is now at 132 and 126 has a newly ranked wrestler).

quite a few Ohio boys wrestled at '2017 Grappler Fall Classic, can we expect a few changes in the rankings?

Just got word that State Alternate Corbin Haudeshell (Tiffin) will be moving to North Carolina before the season starts. Projected around 113/120.

It is good to see those kids putting in work, but my guess is they will not be at those weights once season comes. I think most will be a weight class lower. I did not see a lot of OH v OH clashes, so I believe things will stay mostly the same.

Really nice win in the finals by Ryan Thomas, that kid is going to have a monster senior year. And man that 8th grader who won 112, Bouzakis, color me impressed.

D2# 10- Garrett Lautzenheiser win over Andrew Chambal was an eye opener, as well as a runner up finish at the Elite 105.

Elite 145 6th place- J. Thomas and Elite 152 5th place- J. Sanchez; guess no change in that situation.

Elite 160 champ R. Thomas beat 2x Florida state champ, Byelick 8- 3; the match up with Ohio 2x state champ, Freeman will be one of the more anticipating state matches( if it happens). He looked good.

Elite 189 champ Ashton Eyler is on fire( watch out Crawford).

D1# 10- Cameron Sauerwein finish 4th in the Elite 215.

Congradulations to all Ohio Elite & Varsity placers.

Bouzakis family is a great wrestling family. Father was a great high school wrestler in New York. Read an article that said he was one of greatest high school wrestler to come out of NY.
My daughter wrestles on a memorial team Team Greco dedicated to their son that passed.
You will see Nick at Blair next year

Tough wrestler, only kid I have seen in years completely destroy my kid.

Last year he was wrestling for Buxton (Blair feeder) and was told he was already in 8th grade and would be turning 16 soon...just going by what parents of his team said.

If he is in 8th again, good Lord. I know Blair doesn't have the same rules as OHSAA but eventually one has to start HS.

That doesn't take away from the kid, at National MS duals and Virginia Beach last year he didn't have one real close match. Just walked through most everyone.

That donít even sound right. I know my son wrestled his entire junior year being 16.

I believe you, then the parents for Buxton were miss informed.

Yes of course. The next update will be based off of the GFC and any weights changes I have received within the past week.

They were probably confused with CraftAmaniac's boy.

Best of Luck to Peyton at Blair this year.

As I get farther away from the sport, I wanted to ask how the rankers are projecting weight classes so early in the season. I understand many of the top end talent are already competing, but many aren't.
