Valley View Football 2018

Greetings Everyone!

Valley View comes off the best season since 2005...
10-0 Regular Season - SWBL Southwesten Champs - #1 seed in D4 R16 - 28-20 defeat to eventual State Runner-up Clinton Massie in state playoffs ..
VV loses a lot of senior leadership but a renewed excitement and interest in this program has VV on a path to sustained success similar to the early 2000s..
2018 Schedule is as follows...

@ Wilmington
@ Ft Recovery
H Madison
@ Oakwood
H Monroe
H Bellbrook
@ Franklin
H Milton-Union
H Eaton
@ Brookville

Thoughts?
Early thoughts on this schedule which is pretty tough would be 7-3 which would most likely put them in the playoffs again. Still early so who knows! Would love to hear what people are thinking.

Never mind; just found out it should be Cradlebaugh.

Excellent question. What about the size of the OL and DL? If there is no size, making a playoff run will be tough.

What year is he? Does he have any experience? A lights out QB (Strayer) can make up for lack of size on the line.

Sophomore or Junior I believe? Played WR last year due to the fact VV had Wood under center. The Kid is smart and very fast. Should fit the mold of a prototypical run-and-shoot QB that VV has had success with.

Both OL and DL will have size but replacing 3 starters on each will make for some growing pains

The VV qb will be a junior...caught some passes in varsity action the past couple of years. Stats show 2-2 on passing and 8 rushes last season. Hopefully getting a lot of reps this off-season.

Seems like way too many unknowns at this point for me to even begin to speculate as to how the team will fare in 2018. Madison and Franklin will be tough for sure and the early season trip to Ft. Recovery could catch a young team by surprise

I agree with you about FR. Indians have a good sr. class to go with a very strong soph. class.
