I was doing some shoulder rehab this summer over at Beacon and saw Chase Wolf when he was working out with Tony Pike. Pike told me the kid is very good and was not going to any combines, all american camps or anything to boost his rating, because he is focused on St X football; not a typical HS recruit. Very quiet kid. I wish him luck except against the Panthers.

Chase is a helluva kid. Coming from a Moeller guy. I'm a huge fan of his demeanor

He's already committed to Wisconsin. He has no need to up his rating. After the bonehead from the other school bragged about another offer he got, Wisconsin took back their offer. Chase has no reason to mess up what he deserves.

The kid does have a great demeanor and is a humble kid. Looks to be about 6'3" and over 200lbs. Saw him throw this morning at mini camp and he looks strong.

Wolf looked very crisp with his passes, he got the ball out quick and found the open receiver consistently. The Receivers had a little case of the dropsies early but settled down as the practice went on. Sophomore Marshall Lang snagged a few nice passes including one where he went up contested and pulled down a jump ball. Kreimer and Hudepohl also looked sharp, Hudepohl threw one pick. He had a lot of zip on the ball just needs to be patient and not force things. Defensively we looked pretty decent with the caveat that Princeton's passing game wasnt very good. I Saw a lot of holding from the corners and safties that will need to be cleaned up. Overall I thought things looked very good for an early season 7 on 7. The real test will come when there is some click clack going on. Everyone looks good in shorts and T shirts.

That would be my guess since X travels to Hinsdale Week 1 next season.
Specht knew this was the last year for the Crosstown Showdown when he scheduled Hinsdale home and away
The question is will kickoff still be at 5pm?

Crazy that PBS is too expensive after taxpayers paid all that money to build it!! On the positive, these boys have never played at Princeton so if we end up there for a play-off game, we will have experience. They have played at Mason, Hamilton and Nippert.

42 Ty Sandifer
44 is not the st Ignatius transfer he got moved to JV so it is a safe bet to say that he will not be starting on varsity yet
Tucker hundley and Raja Bridges were not there for the scrimmage
Most of the sophomores that did not play varsity last year do not have numbers yet, the ones that were at the scrimmage had blue jerseys with no number:

Newman RB/Slot
Lange WR
Hundley not at scrimmage but working at RB/Safety

Agreed - I thought I was done with Princeton. At least the parking is convenient and it is easy to get to. I am a little disappointed that someone didn't see this as a possibility and reserve Ballaban.

"The Cincinnati power had one of the most remarkable seasons last year. The Bombers entered one of the toughest postseason brackets with a 5-5 record but reeled off five straight in the Division 1 playoffs with wins over Fairfield, Colerain, Sycamore, Pickerington Central and St. Ignatius. St. X became the first five-loss team to win a state championship in Ohio football history and should ride that momentum into 2017. Three-star Wisconsin commit Chase Wolf will get the keys to the quarterback position. The top two receivers return in Cameron Specht and Andrew Wittrock. They will roll out one of the nastiest defenses in the country too, led by 3-star defensive end Blake Bacevich, Bobby Jefferson and Will Childs."

But will MaxPreps agree with me on top 10 in the country?
The Bombers come in at #18 in the country in MaxPreps PreSeason Top 25

http://www.maxpreps.com/news/1yw9XCF...-st-xavier.htm

Some great pics in this article of Wolf, Specht, Bacevich and Jefferson (my favorite)

Only 2 other midwest teams in the top 25...Cass Tech out of Detroit and Warren Central from Indy

The Ignatius transfer (his name is Buzz) didn't get moved to JV. He was placed there from the start. New kid, new defense / offense, a couple new positions. It's my opinion that he's there to learn and get reps that just wouldn't be possible with the varsity squad. All three LB spots, DE, FB, TE and long snapper. You can't put the defending state champions in a holding pattern while they figure a new kid out.
I wouldn't bet on him starting but he'll at least be in the two deep somewhere.

I don't see a hudl on him from last year. Not sure if schools remove them when a kid transfers. But 8th grade film is on YouTube.

Raja Bridges skillset is better to play LB than Safety

#15 Hundley has spent the majority of his time on offense not at adjuster thus far.
Raja Bridges skillset is better to play LB than Safety
Raja Bridges Jr. must be #11 at LB and Gary Johnson Jr. #3 at Safety.

Stellar receiving corps of #8 Specht Sr., #10 Kreimer Jr., #11 Shamsi Sr., #12 Wittrock Sr., #43 Lange Soph., #83 Rueve Sr. and #88 Taul Sr.
Anybody know who is #5 and #82?

4 solid running backs in #4 Matt Fox Sr, #23 Chris Payne Jr., #15 Tucker Hundley Soph. and #20 Kellen Newman Soph.

I'm guessing pass/run ratio of 70/30.

Pads on Saturday?
