An inept Elon Musk. He made a plethora of promises to PR, powered up a children's hospital, and hasn't been heard from since. Well, except to launch a car with a mannequin into space, which was pretty cool.

It takes time to redue an entire country’s power grid. Only 33,000 people have no power. A month ago it was 100,000. These are the hard rural areas. Started at 4 million.

I remember that storm a few years ago left some areas in WV without power for over 6 months.

Fake news

Plenty of privately owned and operated generators. Homes and businesses that have solar panels and batteries that can power common modern services.

Not getting reliable government utilities isnít the same thing as not having access to any basic services.

Sounds like it was an "inept" backhoe operator. He hit a power line and caused the black out.

Of course you have to read half the article to get to that point.
