The Vindy might have been Mahoning Counties only paper, but The Tribune still qualifies as a Valley newspaper.

Just looking at it from a sports perspective....
The Tribune does a fine job of Trumbull county teams, and depending on the magnitude of the game- Mahoning county. ( Fitch vs Boardman; Mooney vs Ursuline. Etc). But smaller Mahoning County teams that have NO bearing on a Trumbull county league/playoff chances get no press. And forget about Columbiana county/ Western Pa
We can look at WKBN.COM and WFMJ.COM all we want. Saturday mornings wont be the same

I am still a subscriber, have been all these years, and hate to see the Vindy go.
Lordstown: One of my relatives (grandfather or uncle - can't remember which one) worked for GM. (The other of the two mentioned worked for Chrysler). I hope Workforce will provide some of the Lordstown folks with jobs.

Sadly, Lordstown and the Vindicator get added to the list with U.S. Steel and Sheet and Tube. I would love to see that area resurrected and wish I knew the answer. Hope some good things are happening. The interstate infrastructure is certainly there, but I digress.

Glad to hear that. Akron lost itís only station many years ago. Depend on Cleveland stations for minimal local news.

Lordstown doesn't want any new jobs. They vote down everything that they try to do over there.

Sad. Some things never change.

Good luck to the Raiders this year.
