St. X at Lebanon was their JV team.

9. Ashland- Won their own invite with 41 points and 4 guys under 17:00.
*beat Pickerington North #11 by 30 points.

More importantly the winner of the Ashland race was Sophomore Nathaniel Moore from Lake-uniontown in 15:34.
2nd place was New Philadelphia Aidan Harr in 15:44
3rd place was Pickerington North Matt Duvall in 16:03.

Matt Duvall and Aidan Harr were both on fire this year and were both handled easily by Nathaniel Moore.

*arguably the best freshmen in the state last year with a sub 2:00 in 800, 4:30 1600 and sub 9:30 in 3200. This is Moore's 2nd great race both at 15:34. I believe we have a new stud in Ohio on our hands. This kid looks and races like one of the greats.

#12 Defiance won the Wapakoneta Night Meet. It was a 13-team field, but it doesn't appear any other notable teams were present.

My vote is for Shelby at No 1.
They have a lot upfront and good enough depth.
Woodridge next.
I looked at some of the top NE teams rosters and it appears
St V. and NDCL both ran without top guys yesterday.

Looks like NDCL was without their #2 from a week ago. Looks like they're in a dead heat for 2nd with Gilmour if he runs like normal.

SVSM was without their #1, but they had another guy in their top 5 on Sat. who wasn't in the results from last week. Mathematically, Bay beats SVSM even if SVSM's #1 races and wins.

SVSM ran without their number 1 and 4 runners. It looks like it would have been very close against Bay. NDCL ran without their number 2 runner plugging him in puts them around 3rd. Their problem down the road might be a lack of firepower in the front

Why is so difficult to find the results for D3 programs. Are their schedules limited or are the locations of their meets off the radar ?

Who else was SVSM missing at Avon Lake that has been in their top 5 this year besides Phillips? Their #6 from GlenOak didn't run at Avon Lake and wasn't in their top 5 at Preseason either. Their #5 from Avon Lake didn't run at GlenOak. At the Preseason Invite, #5 from Avon Lake finished just ahead of #6 from GlenOak. The Maroon race at Avon Lake wasn't big enough or deep enough up front for Phillips to make up enough points to defeat Bay. If Phillips races and wins, Bay still wins 41-50. Also of note is that even with Phillips, Bay is getting 5 in before SVSM is getting 3.

Some parts of the state don't use baumspage as religiously as others. Some meets report their results to milesplit while others don't.

I like a good dig. Which teams are you looking for in particular?

Bay was without their 4th or 5th, but they don't drop much to their 6th. They may give up to much up front to really contend in the big meets

They may give up something in big meets, but not many D2 teams can match the type of depth that Bay has.

Name a few schools, and I'll take a look around for you. A few teams may have taken the weekend off due to the holiday, county fair (not sure about others, but my county fair was going on this weekend), or who knows what.

New London had nothing on their school schedule for this weekend. New London will race at Tiffin next Sat.

Mt. Gilead's school schedule sent me to arbiter where they had nothing for this weekend. Mt. Gilead has the McGowan Invitational (Watkins Memorial) next Sat. Surprised they wouldn't be going to Tiffin.

Leesburg Fairfield ran the Ohio Classic at Hillsboro. They won an 8-team meet w/ 25 pts. Other teams were: Miami Trace, Mt. Orab Western Brown, Winchester Eastern Brown, Frankfort Adena, Greenfield McClain, Lees Creek East Clinton, and Hillsboro. Not too familiar with Fairfield's personnel, but here's a link to the results:

https://runningtime.net/results/2018-results/

Leesburg Fairfield has Zane Trace on its schedule for next Sat.

Woodridge boys and girls took the weekend off like they always do for Labor Day.

Minerva girls won the large school race at Newcomerstown and appear to have found some depth. Did not have a 25:00 #5 runner like at Claymont last week.

Poland Seminary girls had nothing on their school schedule for Saturday. It says they ran at McDonald last Tuesday and at Brookfield this Tuesday before heading to West Middlesex (PA) next Saturday.

Mt. Gilead girls - no meet on their schedule for 9/1, at Watkins on 9/8

Ft. Loramie girls - no meet on their schedule for 9/1, at Tiffin on 9/8

Archbold girls - no meet on their schedule for 9/1, at home invite on 9/8

West Liberty-Salem girls - ran Bellefontaine Benjamin Logan on 8/28, no meet on their schedule for 9/1, at Tiffin and/or Spencerville on 9/8 (schedule shows both meets)

Liberty Center girls - ran at Greenville Treaty City Invite on 9/1. Won DII-DIII w/ 59 pts. Beat #13 St. Henry and #17 Versailles, at Tiffin on 9/8.
https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountr...results/609034

New London girls - no meet on their schedule for 9/1, at Tiffin on 9/8

Fredericktown girls - won small school race at Newcomerstown w/ 55 pts. #1 ran 19:53, #2-#8 were all between 21:30 and 22:00. I can't remember if Newcomerstown is flat, short, or both. I know it has a reputation for being fast.

St. Henry girls - 4th at Greenville Treaty City Invite. See link to Treaty City Results. Nothing listed for 9/8 but could see them heading to Tiffin, at Ottawa-Glandorf on 9/15.

East Canton Girls - Did not race on 9/1. You are correct that they won their home invitational on Thurs. It was supposed to be on Wed, but storms wiped out all but the MS girls race. The remaining races were run the next day, but half of the schools entered did not return for them. Would've been a much more competitive field if the weather had cooperated on Wed.
