I really like Buick Regals. Great cars. The first one bit it with a deer. Second one had engine failure though. Third one is running great. It's just a secondary car. But it's Regal's are great cars. Only thing that sucks is the fuel mileage sucks. 20mpg is about the top of the scale for them for everyday driving.

Hyundai is a good car but it's cheap. First car I ever bought new. I've generally always consider a new vehicle a waste. Honestly still think that. But oh well. My favorite car was probably the Jetta. Lost that in the divorce to my ex.

1980 Chevrolet Monza (my first car)
1985 Oldsmobile Calais
1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL (yes I was an Olds guy, still wish they were around)
1992 Honda Accord LX (became a sheeple and went Japanese but it was a nice car)
1997 Honda Accord SE (another nice car, a bit bland with not an abundance of power but nice for what it was)

2001 Monte Carlo SS (loaded with leather and Loved it)
2004 Chevrolet Impala SS International Speedway edition in black (leased it-loved it - supercharged - wish I'd bought it off lease but it was way too much for what it blue booked for)

2007 Chevrolet HHR LT (I know, everyone thinks they're junk but mine was great and I loved it, not fast but very maneuverable..well compared to the Impala anyhow)

2012 Chevrolet Impala LT (Nice, I got it used in 2015 and love it, it's a fleet car but it's a tank and I keep it clean).

Yes, I'm a GM guy...YMMV. but Honda Accord is a great car too, just got tired of them after a while.
My GM's have all been great cars and I've had none of the bad luck a lot of people have claimed. My Honda's have been good cars too but a tiny bit overrated, at least for me in the mid 1990s
For me anyways, the domestics have gotten something of a bad rap, but I've been lucky and I take car of my cars.

Five in over 40 years. Only one was a lemon. Actually, I think it ran as intended so it was just crap. Current car for ten years. I like it, hope it lasts.

This one will tempt me:

'11 Elantra- Own it, will drive it until it dies.

I know they're kinda "nerdy" but I love my Hyundai. You can't beat the 10 yr/100k warranty.

I like the Sonata we bought new. But, there's little things that just bug me about it. One, WHY THE HELL is the mute button on the radio nowhere on the steering wheel and is the the furthest top right corner of the radio? They have so much phone/bluetooth controls on the wheel, along with engine/car information (MPG, tire air pressure, miles-until-empty, etc), but no simple mute or station controls on the wheel?

The '15 also has bucket seats. It's not bad, but you really notice it on longer road trips compared to a more luxury seat such as the Buick Regals I've owned.

The MPG, pep, get-up-and-go, handling, quiet/smooth ride, style, etc are all pluses, though that far outweigh the complaints.

My sister has a 5 yo Sonata. The finish of the car is embarrassing; the door handle paint is worn, trim is coming off, and the interior is pretty much incredibly bad.....however the car runs like a champ.

My sister has a '11 Elantra. It's horrendously underpowered and the whole car just feels cheap, which it is. It's the definition of a really boring but fairly reliable car.

After driving a Golf for five years it'll be tough to ever go back to anything with fewer than 6 cylinders. Also love manual transmissions but those are going by the wayside as well. I'd like to get a Skoda but I don't think they'll ever come here, but I thought VW might consider it because of the emissions scandal. Sucks that it's so damn hard and expensive to import cars from Europe.

I have a year left on my Infiniti lease. Not sure what I'm going to get next. I have a sick craving for another Hummer. Or I do like the Chevy Black Ops specialty trucks. I've always wanted a Range Rover too. Then there's this very very tiny part of me that is saying just go buy a used car for cash and be done with it.

Probably a good idea. I've watched numerous videos about the horrendous build quality of Hummers and find it odd that you like them so much. First time I've ever come across someone that had a Hummer and liked it.

I had very good luck with all of mine. Although looking back, they were WAY overpriced when they came out. You can get a pretty decent lower mileage H2 for $20-$25k now

Lets test my memory....

1974 Camaro ... my first car, wanted a 66 Ford Falcon but couldn't get it....

1979 Camaro Z28 small block, ran high 12's at Kil-Kare

1978 Camaro ... picked it up cheap, used it for some parts and then sold it....

1973 Buick Century... this car was a beast. N50 Slots on the back, side-pipes, snorkel scoop on front... leaky air shocks... I had to keep a hand pump on me just in case I found the car resting on the N50's..... 13 second car..... ended up getting stolen.....

1970 Cuda ... My favorite body style. Heater/defrost stopped working and had to do some leaning out the window at times.... those good ole days...

1970 Challenger ... picked this one up very cheap as the owner had to sell it because people were after him and knew his car..... I probably pushed this car more than I drove it and of course it was a pain to change the starter since I had to loosen up the headers just to get it out....

1969 Chevelle... found this one in a barn in northern Ohio covered in moss.... tinkered with it to get it started and eventually got it home... cleaned up very well.... this one ended up getting totaled when somebody slammed into it while it was parked...

1968 Chevelle.... Found this one in Columbus with chalked wheels. Dude had to get rid of it as it did not run. It sported an RS hood which is worth a pretty penny. Wire harness was a mess but eventually got the thing started. Swapped hoods with the 69.

1978 Ford F150 ... Needed a truck... great truck. Somehow this thing got me to Columbus in a snowstorm where I70 was shut down....

1966 Ford Galaxy ... Smooth ride

2 1951 Studebakers ... I wanted something weird and found this one at an Air Force Base south of Columbus.... it came with a part car. First time getting gas I could not find where you put the gas in at.... lol, luckily an elder gentlemen came up to me and showed me that the taillight moves and that is where it goes....

1973 Camaro ..... Drove this one for a long time....

1977 1/2 Camaro Z28 10 year anniversary edition. One of my favorites... this one could flat out fly. Jacked it up, 50's on the back with Weld Wheels, 7 inch snorkel on front..... drove this one for a long time until I had to get rid of it because of those stupid E-checks....

1956 Chevy ... swapped my Cuda for this one....by this time my Cuda was pretty beat up and developed a serious problem with the engine block....

1970 Camaro Z28 split-bumper....

1971 Camaro

1972 Camaro

1980 Camaro Big Block 396 10 second car... not really street legal and I did get pulled over for driving with slicks on the back.... ended up trading it for a 69 Mach 1

1969 Mustang Mach 1: This was a death car, 351 that could flat out fly but the problem was it did not want to stop.... I ended up selling this car twice....

1978 Buick Regal Wagon .... Really liked this one and wished that I never sold it....

1994 Ford Ranger ..... bought this in 1999, still have it....

1964 Mercury Comet Caliente...

1999 Honda CRV .... still have it....

----------------------------------------------------
I am probably missing a few... I really hated getting rid of those muscle cars. I do regret not buying a 1969 Z-28 that I test drove.... had no idea that the price on that one would sky rocket the following year.... would also like to get a hold of a 55-57 chevy wagon....

Love the Nomad wagons! Young guys don't know what they are missing. I spent my preteen years under the cars of the older guys on my street learning everything I could about cars. By the time I was seventeen I could tear down an engine, hone the cylnders, drop off the heads at a local speed shop and put it all back together making it run better than ever.
