Youngest Head Coach

Who is the youngest high school head coach when he took over the program that you can think of? Just a thought that crossed my mind and made me curious.

Alfredo Gray at Norwayne comes to mind. He was 23 or 24 when he got the job I think. Someone may be able to confirm this.

So what do you guys think, which is better? A younger coach who is definitely more up to date on technique and can still wrestle and beat up on the kids a little bit or a coach that's older with more experience.

Brian Castner was 21 When started as head coach at Finneytown
Domnic Wolfer (spelling) was 18 or 19 when he was coach at McNick I think

I remember hearing of a Wrestler at Aiken in the 90s who served as their Head coach because they didn't have one. Not sure if my memory is correct or if it was true.

I know of a guy who started coaching for a JH team in 1986 (19 yrs old) and is still coaching at the same school at the varsity level. Can't think of his name though...

You're welcome . LOL, and to think you WANTED to be a head coach! Ahhh, to be young and naive. But then again you owned a house too at 22 you were pretty mature.
