Sun's out. Won't be a fast course, but not the sloppy mess it looked like yesterday.

Arklow just crushed me there. Had a 5 dollar pick 3 ending in that race. It's funny how you know which horse will beat you.

I have used these horses on multi race tockets. I prefer the same as the Butler but also used Gunnevera and Gormley. I tossed always dreaming. If he beats me so be it

I went with Classic Empire and Gunnevera per your suggestion. I'm breaking thumbs if it doesn't come through!

Wow, that's one clean horse.

I thought Irish War Cry was setting up well at the stop of the stretch, then he just went backwards.

Didn't use him for first on a single ticket. Threw him out. Mainly bet on Irish war cry mccracken and CE.

CE got hammered at the start.

Also what happened to hence at the start

Made his way back to 4th, which was impressive after the thumping he took.

Yeah he ran a HUGE race. I always hope the derby winner wins the Preakness so I can bet large against him in the belmont.

What an experience. Bet early in the day on Always Dreaming to win so that was nice. Ended up sneaking into Millionaire's Row and chatted with Dabo Swinney at the bar for a minute. Saw Kirk Herbstreit and a governor but not sure who or what state even. Guy who gave us the tickets dropped $70k on Classic Empire and didn't even blink when he lost. Crazy.

Classic Empire's eye is 3/4 shut. Considering what happened to him he ran a huge race especially with his eye so messed up

I hope you had a great time and appreciate the experience. The Derby is awesome to go to especially with the connections you got to take advantage of. It's a different world is all I can say

Well the Preakness field has started to take form. You can scratch Royal Mo who won the Robert B Lewis and ran 3rd in the Santa Anita Derby. He was next on the A/E list for the Derby and didn't draw in. He broke his sesamoid bone in his right front. Career likely over after that. Did it this morning at Pimlico.

I think the main contenders are of course Always dreaming and Classic Empire. I also like Conquest MO Money who had enough points to be in the Derby but they would have had to pay like 300k to enter bc he wasn't Triple Crown nominated. So I think they paid around 150k to run in this spot.

He ran 2nd in the Sunland Derby and Arkansas Derby. He is a speed/presser type and his running style will suit the bias of Pimlico.

He is the bargain horse considering he was bought at auction for 7500 after Conquest Stables dispersed all of their horses. I want to say he was bought for 180k at one point and then was bought in the dispersal sale for 7500.

Also looking to the Belmont the Peter Pan was ran yesterday and Timeline won it and looked impressive. It's a prep race for the Belmont Stakes with Tonalist winning it and the Belmont a few years ago to ruin Chrome's Triple Crown chase. However I am not sure he will run in the Belmont considering his trainer, Chad Brown, said after the race he doesn't think he is a 1 1/2 mile type of horse and may point to the Haskell at Monmouth. He said he will consult with the owner William Farrish, who owns Lane's End, about what to do next.

Playing fair on the turf. Dirt is a complete speed bias. Bodes well for always dreaming considering there isn't much speed since Royal Mo dropped out.

Track is listed as good now as well as the turf.
