Pens looked great for the first ten or so minutes, then they completely fell apart. Failed to score on a 6-on-3

Habs win again, are 9-0-0, may not lose this season

Habs might break the record for best start to a season

Pens won. It was as sloppy a win as I've seen. They mixed the lines up looking for something on offense. Didn't work. Still near the bottom in goals scored.

The record is 10, they play in Vancouver tonight where they usually win, then both Alberta teams where they usually play like arse. Think they lose tomorrow anyway

Watch Arizona whenever you get a chance, great young team sans Mike Smith (terrible) and they haven't even called up Dylan Strome yet. Sucks they play for frickin Arizona. Domi is the man

2015 could go down as one of the greatest drafts of all time

Any relation to the Strome on the Islanders?

I was surprised for a second when you said younger because Ryan is like 21 himself, then I remembered that 18 and 19 year olds are common in the NHL..

That's sick

Already down 3-0 to Vancouver at first INT. Looking like the streak ends tonight. First time Montreal has been scored on in the 1st period all season

Favorite stat of the streak: Through 9 games (540 minutes) MTL trailed for a total of 2:57

Vancouver needs to hoard some points before their old players start tiring.

It's interesting watching Sutter look so much better playing with the Canucks then he did while with the Pens.

Sedins are already over the hill and fading fast. Vancouver is going to be bad for awhile imo

I think the only guys they have going forward who aren't near, at, or over 30 are Sutter, Horvat, Tanev, Hutton, and McCann. And it's not like they're considered a contender at the moment. Probably should have started rebuilding a few years ago, TBH.

Classic Fleury goal there.

Well it was off a skate, but he should have had that.

Wow tie game like ten seconds later. Weird

Also, I can't believe the Pens failed to score with nearly 2 full minute of 5-3. How do you not score within 20 seconds with Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Hornqvist, and Letang on the ice against 3 opponents?

Canucks blew a 3-1 lead with under 5 left and lost in OT. Ouch. They've played a lot of OT so far this year. Probably not good for their old players.

How does Bruce Boudreau still have a job? They are 1-7-2, have been shutout 5 time and have scored 9 goals in 9 games

McDavid likely out for the year with a broken clavicle. Edmonton can't catch a break

Pacific Division is so bad now with McDavid out

Went from probably the best division in hockey two years ago to the worst by far right now. Would be surprised if anyone finished above .500

Hell of a game on NBCSN right now, Hawks scored 5 in the 1st period and now the Blues have scored three in a row to tie it, 5-5 at 2nd intermission

Blues come all the way back and won 6-5 in OT

Astonishingly the trio of Toews-Kane-Seabrook failed to score in OT

Fleury lost his mind tonight. Made some really risky plays that nearly cost them.

Crosby got his second goal. Fehr had a really nice shorthanded goal. Kessel, I think he would have missed an empty-netter the way things went for him tonight.

The team seems like it's coming together nicely after a horrendous start. I'm glad to be wrong about Johnston.

Jackets just beat San Jose and LA two in a row, which is moderately impressive

Just bought tickets to the Hurricanes vs Flyers game on Saturday. I know Carolina blows but I've never been to an NHL game before so I'm really looking forward to it.

I guess people are talking about making the nets bigger? Seems dumb to me. They should shrink some of the goalie equipment if they're concerned about goals.

I personally don't get the complaint. I don't see a shortage of goals being scored.
