A 3 win D3 team means nothing. They were also shutout by a Versailles team that finished 2-8 and narrowly edged a 1-9 team (Parkway). DSJ is simply not a good team.

We had them the week after LCC. If I remember correct Delphos only had 2 first downs all game. They did score but it was on a gimme pick six. Probably the second worst team I saw us play all year besides Eaton.

Thats according to the Harbin point system. Are you saying Minster is not a top ten team?

I'll take them over a handful of teams that made the playoffs in every Div. VII Region except 26....Ash. St. John, New Miami, Green, River, Ansonia, etc.

I agree. SOS should weigh more into it. Green, 108 out of 108 in SOS (Pastuer). Come on.

Here is the thing tho........
SOS should be revealed through the second level harbins a team receives for their wins.
There isn't a real good way to weigh the SOS when a team loses as I am not for any points whatsoever for a loss no matter how big/good school you play.
However, playing stout opponents can allow the better teams to improve and eventually, in theory, bear witness through wins in the rest of the schedule.

So if you are Green, playing in a very shallow region 27, there is no incentive to play a tougher schedule.

The team everyone talks about "Minster" is a good team year after year, not sure how they are this year with Huelsman graduating, those are some very, very big shoes to fill. I imagine whoever wins this year is a team coming out of R26 or R28.

St. Paul lost to Calvert earlier this year by around 20, haven't seen them lately, but not too sure they will make it to the regional final

Final AP Poll Division VII
1. Sycamore Mohawk (16) 10-0
2. Edgerton (2) 10-0
3. Pandora-Gilboa (2) 10-0
4. Fort Loramie 9-1
5. Canal Winchester Harvest Prep (3) 10-0
6. McComb 9-1
7. Tiffin Calvert 9-1
8. Minster (3) 7-3
9. Norwalk St. Paul 9-1
10. Convoy Crestview 9-1
Others receiving 12 or more points: Hamler Patrick Henry 27, Windham 20, Ansonia 17, Lucas 15, Glouster Trimble 13, Leipsic 12
How is Lucas only ranked 14th in the AP? Behind teams like Windham (Come on), Ansonia (Please)??? Lucas won their region and had the 5th hardest schedule in D7 and the 3rd most Harbin points in D7. Wow. No respect for the Cubs.

It is a great accomplishment to be voted as the AP champs, but as we all know that isn't what people remember. I believe I was on a team that won 2-3 AP titles, I don't quite recall, but it is never anything we ever talk about, its all about the postseason.
So congrats to the Massillon Champs, I mean, AP, champs now go prove it on the field.

I agree there. It really doesn't mean much. Prove them wrong on the field. Lucas will use it as bulletin board material.

WIth all this talk about Lucas I heard that Minster started to watch film on them to get an early start on game planning.

Lol. The AP poll is a joke. And I'm glad Minster is watching Lucas tape and not tape on Crestview (the team that apparently doesn't deserve any AP love).

In all fairness, they have been watching Convoy's tape all season so they are good to go with them.

Haha! Hoping for the rematch this year. Love to play against the best and the defending champs. Wish we could meet later in the playoffs (if we both got that far) but much respect for the program.

Looks like that will happen next week. I don't see anyway Minster or Crestview gets bounced tomorrow.

actually, the coaching staff hasn't had time...they have been with the BURG's staff 2 or 3 nights week since week 3 , getting them ready for the MAC teams in DIV 6....

I did hear that but I didn't want to pile on Minster's staff. Thought I heard someone tell me that in Minster's dugout last summer they saw Crestview football scouting reports and playbooks.
