I think this looks about right, although Harvest Prep might feel slighted. I see we had at least 19 posters that voted in D7.

70% of the top 10 is from region 26....good luck on who comes out of that one.
Meanwhile up in Region 25 you’ve got Ashtabula St.John in the playoffs who’s been beaten 2x by...Crestline

Thought Lucas might at least get mentioned as they had one of the biggest upsets in D7 this year knocking off LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC.

Agreed. I guess playing a top 5 schedule doesn't carry much weight.

That's a little misleading. The LCC / St Johns game is a huge rivalry game....kinda like OSU / Michigan....the records don't mean much. That being said, St Johns has played the toughest schedule of any D7 team in the state according to Drew Pasteaur. He has them at #5 in R28 (at 2-8). They are by no means the type of team they have been in the past, but I'll guarantee you they are probably in the top 10 in D7 of teams that finished below .500. They did have a win over D3 Toledo Woodward

Good point D4fan, I guess you should've voted. Another big upset in D7 was Patrick Henry defeating 9-0 D5 Liberty Center 34-19.

Two blowout losses with one of them coming to Centennial makes it hard for me to gauge Lucas. Nice win over LCC but... a blowout... to Centennial.

Centennial is D3 school that went 7-3! Lucas lost their first team all-Ohio RB in the 1st quarter of that game. In saying this, the fans and players at Lucas could care less about the meaningless AP poll. They will gladly play the under dog role. Should they have made the top 10 with a top 5 schedule? Of course. Do they care? Not even a little. They have bigger goals...

Will the Lucas first team all-Ohio RB be available to play during the playoffs?

Yes. That was the only game he missed. He ran for well over 2000 yards and 30+ TDs in nine games.

SOunds like Lucas should be the heavy favorite in DVII.
Look forward to seeing them play on tv in the finals.

...and here comes the sarcasm. Cannot talk up a really good non-MAC area team without someone chiming in.

Huh?
Just upset a top ranked team in 2 divisions larger.
Have a RB averaging over 200 yards a game and 3 TD's.
Absolutely they are a legit contender.
I always enjoy watching new teams come playoff time. Would go in person to the finals if they were in Columbus but NEO is just too far to go.

LCC is Division 6. Not two divisions larger.
Anyone in the Columbus area knows that regardless of that pretty 7-3 record, Centennial is perennially terrible in football. Here are the records of who Centennial beat:
0-10
0-10
1-9
2-8
3-7
4-6
8-2
I'm not saying Lucas isn't good. I'm just saying that is a glaring loss and why I hesitated before placing them in my top ten which is a subjective poll on Yappi. Don't like it, you should have voted yourself. We are all entitled to our opinions.

So Lucas (without their best player), losing to a D3 school with a 7-3 record and with over 4x (315-76) the enrollment, was a bad loss? I completely disagree. Everyone searches for reasons to tear a team down on here without looking at the bigger picture...LOOK WHO THEY BEAT. Top 5 schedule and went 8-2. Like I said earlier, these polls mean nothing to the kids, so no big deal. However, I will come on here and defend them when credit is due. We will see how this shakes out. Hoping for all teams to remain healthy throughout the playoffs!

Whoever comes out of R26 -- my guess is McComb and St. Paul, face up in the Regional Finals. If that were to be the case, not sure who comes out on top of that game. The other top teams would be coming out of R28....Not sure who comes out of that region.
The team everyone talks about "Minster" is a good team year after year, not sure how they are this year with Huelsman graduating, those are some very, very big shoes to fill. I imagine whoever wins this year is a team coming out of R26 or R28.

Minster is overrated. They wont have him to bail them out this year offensively. McComb or PG will be the serious contenders for Lucas.

St. Paul lost to Calvert earlier this year by around 20, haven't seen them lately, but not too sure they will make it to the regional final

Jeb Grover, 5-10 210 lbs...schools all-time leading rusher at close to 6,000 yards. Lucas primarily runs the ball...they ran for 583 yards (21st all-time) earlier this season vs D4 Cadiz Harrison Central.
