Ranking the Ohio Teams: 2018

Close enough to the end to do. Top three are pretty clear?
Ohio State
Cincinatti drat, two "n's", one "t."
Cincinnati
Kentucky (I amuse myself)

Then?

Chop Stix is an unknown quantity at this point
Tier 1:
OSU - not much more to say

Tier 2:
UC - only other Ohio team to finish with 10 wins. Will hopefully finish off superb season with a decent P5 bowl match-up.

Ohio - better than their 8-4 record. Could make an argument as the best team in the MAC despite not making it to the league championship game.

Tier 3:
Miami - they did beat OU and had a great run in the MAC this year but their overall body of work was a bit less impressive.

Toledo - they had one of the league's better OOC wins against Nevada but couldn't beat the big dogs in the MAC. The EMU loss particularly hurt.

Tier 4:

Bowling Green - not much separates them from the other teams in this tier other than finishing the season on a slightly stronger note

Akron - Couldn't build on their big win over Northwestern in league play. Crumbled over the month of November.

Kent State - they lost some close games early on in league play that set the tone for the rest of their season.

Miami had 3 really close games with tough teams (Marshall, WMU, Army). They could very easily have finished 9-3

I might go OSU > UC > Miami/ OU/ Toledo > YSU/ Akron/ Kent/ BGSU

I still think one of Akron or Kent needs to join the MVC. Having both in the MAC seems to ensure neither can really improve

Is Cincinnati the "undisputed" second best program in Ohio?

Now that Coach Fick has returned the Bearcats to their lofty place atop the "Others", is Cincinnati the "undisputed" second best program in Ohio?

I mean OU should have beat the bearcats. How OU lost to them is a mystery
