I usually don't comment on other peoples opinions but I see Mogadore at #8 and no mention of Rootstown. I guess we will see week 10.

Mogadore is a good football team but the teams above them are better at this point. Don't know anything about Rootstown

Rootstown had been 11, 10, 11 the last 3 weeks. Not sure why they fell out of top 15. I had them 9th, right behind Mogadore at 8.

Rootstown beat Mogadore 2 years in a row- win by 17 last year and IIRC had a lot coming back. Mogadore is a fine program, but we all know these things are a popularity contest to a degree.
Gotta put Rootstown above Mogadore- especially after the 3 TD loss to a team the beat last year

I don't disagree with much of the talk, but people have to realize also that Rootstown lost a LOT from last season including their head coach. Also, their OOC schedule to date is awful, which doesn't help.

Rootstown may well be better than Mogadore again this year, time will tell, but in my opinion they aren't better than they were last year, that was their best team in forever and they lost a lot from it.

Trust me, I am not touting Mogadore this year, they kind of got lucky in the end against Northwest and just got beat up by Linsly this weekend, just saying that Rootstown, until they prove it with a big win against a good team, is not as good as they were last year.

If Rootstown wasn't in the same region as Kirtland they were in the state finals last year, they were that good.

This friday, Mogadore vs Elyria Catholic, will really tell a big story on if Mogadore is a contender this year or not as EC is around 10th in D5 right now (11th in AP, 8th in Yappi poll).

Rootstown has played 2 bad teams. They did beat East Canton on the road by 9 last week. The Hornets were 8th in the Yappi D7 poll after week 2. They won a playoff game last year and return 3 skill players who were integral members of their 2 time defending State Champion track team.

Itís too early to tell if the Rovers can duplicate last years performance. Their defense this year is outstanding again. They held East Cantonís 3rd team all state RB to 6 yards rushing (9 carries). He had 101 yards in last yearís game + returned a punt for a TD.
