2018 Boro Fan Almanac

The 2018 Boro Fan Almanac has been released and can be found here: http://www.borofanohio.net/2018-bfa (I apologize if the site temporarily crashes – Had problems two years ago, but last year it seemed to be fixed)

THERE WILL BE NO RANKING OR WEIGHT CHANGES. I will only makes changes for incorrect districts, incorrect results in the verbiage and/or numbering issues (overall and within the district).

I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of the coaches, parents and wrestlers who helped me all season with results, info, weight changes, etc.

Good luck to all!

182 Perrysburg looks really weak this year. It seams a lot of teams are weaker overall this year.

Mr boro fan, in your rankings you have Parma kids coming out of north canton Hoover. I believe they are going to Perrysburg this year. That was my understanding. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks so much

Great job boro . Anyone list the biggest sleepers at each weight. They don’t have to win it could be placing or even making down to the c-bus

FINAL WEEK:

TRAC results are in. Moon wrestled at 113 again vs. 106. Don't know if he weighed in for 106 or not. Wrestled Haskins from Whitmer and it was a close match. 3-2 at end of 3rd and Moon got a takedown, then gave up a reverse to win 5-4. Clay wins by 65pts over Fremont Ross and has 6 champs, 5 seconds, 1 3rd, 1 fft, and 1 DNP. Central Catholic sent a total of 6 wrestlers and scored 8 team points (this program has likely fallen the farthest the fastest).

Had most of the winners (in bold) nailed. Murphy wins at 160. Otherwise you picked all the other winners correctly (except that Moon won at 113 vs. 106). Cascadden then won at 106 over Pendergrass from Clay.

A couple of thoughts from the PTC...

Joe Wright from Coventry is wrestling 126 and looked strong, losing to Massey in the finals.

The 132lb division is stacked with talent from top to bottom. Knuckles is the real deal, Beating Niko Chilson in the semi's and then pinning Brandon Reeves in the Finals.

Cain from Springfield and Dick from Streetsboro are both wrestling at 138.

...Let me also add that we really appreciate what you do for the wrestling community.

Should be 113lb match, as Bal is going 113lbs and A. Allen is LaSalle's 120.

I notice you have Josh Nagy from Oregon Clay listed at 170. He has wrestled at 195 all season as well as last year. He defaulted out in the TRAC championships last weekend and has not wrestled since 2/2. I don't know the extent of any injury he may have - but I am pretty sure he is not cutting from 195 down to 170. Not a major issue since you have him at #21 (PB#3) at 170.

If at 195 and he is ok to wrestle, I would think he is around #20 and PB#5 or #6. He has lost to Bryant from Findlay twice in two relatively close matches and Bryant is PB#5. Caleb Wood of Fremont Ross is PB#4 and #14 overall. Wood handled Bryant rather easily at the TRAC championship.

He has at least two losses. He has loss to Logan Stanley and Begin. I am not exactly sure where he lost to Begin, but I'm guessing in a dual/dual tournament because someone emailed or PMed it to me and I have in my notes that Woko and Begin have split bouts, but I can't find the result anywhere

Nagy wrestled 170 at the Tiffin Calvert tournament. He finished 2nd, losing to Kwiat in the finals.

D2 132 you have Brayden Carter at 27 and Nolan Smith at 28. Nolan Smith beat Brayden Carter 7-2 last week. Also D2 138 Tanner Newbold has beat Skylar Curry in their dual 4-3. I know Skylar beat Tanner at top gun, Tanner has beaten him most recently. Just letting you know in case you have not seen those recent results!!

Seems like we’re splitting hairs over who’s 27 and 28.

Interesting. I thought he looked like a small 195, but he must have had to move up because of Meek this year and (now I forgot his name) last year at 182.

Now I'm not sure where he will be wrestling. I don't know where he certified at, but if he is wrestling 195 and is limited at the weight he can come in at if he plans to go down to 170 for state individual, then he has likely been weighing in light all year at 195.
