Green could be out for the rest of the season, may need surgery on toe...

And if that happens we'll(Bengals) finish 5-11 and welcome to the front office Marvin Lewis.

I know the Saints are one of the best teams in the League, but god dam, today was awful. I donít think theyíll lose out, but it feels like they wonít finish better than 7-9.

Looking at the remaining Schedule:

@ Ravens- Loss
Browns- Win
Broncos- Loss
@Chargers- Loss
Raiders- Win
@Browns- Loss
@Steelers- Loss

Definitely wouldn’t chalk up @Browns, @Ravens, or Broncos at home as losses. Bengals will be favored in two of those games

The Bengals are one of the worst teams in the NFL. The defense is atrocious and they have gotten good luck to win several close games. This team could easily be 1-8 or 0-9.

They most certainly are. They are getting outgained by a pitiful 455-338 yards per game through 9 games. Arizona is the only other team that is getting outgained by more than 100 yards per game on average.

The defense ranks dead last in yards per game allowed and ppg allowed.

My odds on final W-L after today:

9-7: 30%
7-9: 20%
Any other record: 10%

They should beat the Raiders, I think that might be it. I'll go 6-10.

There is no commitment to winning in this organization; under Mike Brown, never has been, never will be. Not sure Browns predesors will change their tune either. Why in the world would you own a team and not want to be the best?

I wont argue the defense is putrid. But they are better than jets, raiders, cardinals, browns and all the teams they beat. If they dont use draft on all defense they are losers.

They would be an underdog to the ravens, colts, falcons, and bucs on a neutral field next week, guaranteed, so I completely disagree that they are for sure better than 4 of the 5 teams they have beaten.

After all of the previous posts bashing on the defense I'm sure this is no shock...

I agree. I see two wins at the most from here on out. The worse part is that the defense is even worse than it was at the beginning of the year.

So who will be Lewis' replacement next year? Jackson? Harbaugh? Riley? I assume the candidates will be the same for the Browns and the Bengals.

I don't follow the Bengals but what's wrong with their defense? At the beginning of the year I thought they had one of the best front 7 in the league, especially the D-Line.

The only one on that list that I could see being a Browns candidate is Riley.

And I wouldn't be so sure that Marvin's out last year. He seems to have more lives than a cat. Taught Hue Jackson well in that aspect.

The front seven is poor. The defensive line is average at best, but I'm certain the Bengals linebacking corps is the worst in the NFL. When they played Pitt a few weeks back, I don't think they got a hand on Big Ben all game.

The front 7 is not poor. It has a number of pro-bowlers among the front 7 and the LB core is decimated with injuries. Not making excuses, but there is talent there. For some reason, this defense was just not getting it done under Austin. He was a strange hire to begin with.

I thought Dunlap & Atkins, especially Atkins, were supposed to be two of the top players at their positions in the league?

Birds of a feather flock together
Both are losers. Now they can conspire to lose a playoff game together
They deserve each other
