bedevil is so old he saw Marion Motley play for the Browns and Bob Waterfield lead the Cleveland Rams to a championship!

Duke Johnson being shopped. Sounds like 3 teams are interested.

Hearing Eric Berry's in town. Not sure how accurate the source is. Earl Thomas was supposedly a "lock" too so I'm skeptical

Think about it - we were just wondering when that win would come and the "Victory fridges" in those bars would pop open. That was still a thing 6 months ago.

Thank goodness Fat Andy won that pizzin' match in KC!!!

Remember Hue's desire for AJ McCarron and giving up high draft choices to get him?

Uh, it was a jersey. They run big. It was your typical iconic jersey

Left the Toughskins "Husky" pants in 3rd grade, though. "Regular" by the 18-20 size, but never a "Slim". My little brother was a "Slim", so no hand-me-downs for him.

We do owe Sashi a great debt of thanks. It may never be confirmed, but I've always had a hunch that Sashi could have stayed on as the "Contract Guru". My guess is that he tripped over his own ego and wouldn't defer on player selection. It will be interesting to see if he surfaces in the NFL after he's done cashing Jimmy's checks.

Its always a little sad to see the fat kid in a quarterback jersey.

I always had the best arm. Even the 6th graders got trucked if they tried to tackle playing smear-the-queer at recess. No sadness.

A middle aged adult making up 6th grade recess glory days. Thatís more sad than a fat boy wearing a quarterback jersey.

They called me sasquatch long before Jack Links was around. Smear-the queer was great fun. It was awesome.

One of countless great childhood memories.

We played that free-for-all football game from the start of the school year until there was no snow on the back blacktop on the school grounds. Then we switched to baseball.

We played both baseball and smear-the-queer in the neighborhood, too, but had more time for "real" football games. The only things I enjoyed more than hunting or fishing.

Did your mommy ever let you off the porch, Little Lord Fauntleroy ?

We called it kill the man down here weirdo, but smear the queer makes more sense for you. I bet you loved playing smear the queer with your boys though.

They tried They'd often punt it away from me, but many often didn't want to pick it up with me coming up behind them, either. Some kids would only chase after my carry and punt. I was a huge kid in grade school, especially. Some caught up in high school height-wise, but I was relatively skinny by then. My kindergarten class pic is hysterical. The next tallest kid is up to my shoulder, I've got no front teeth but I'm grinnin' like a opossum, top shirt button done up with no tie, and my hair sticking up. Back center, of course.

What's that avatar pic ?

I had no idea what a "queer" was. It was just what the game was called. Queer just meant odd, as my Grandma was the only family member that really ever used the word. Just the name of a game.

Is one of your kids a bone-smoker or something ? Why do these things always get you rattled ?

You about ready to start a 2019 Bengals thread yet, e_p ? Bloof noted that there isn't one yet.

Are you going to find something else to do on Sundays this year, or are you gonna hang in there ?
