Let me frame it this way.
1. Success of feeder programs. North Catholic has gone 20-3-1 the past three seasons, including winning four in a row over South Catholic. St. Christine's also had a nice team last year that took down South Catholic. Seems like a handful more went to play at Ursuline than Mooney from St. Christine.

2. Ursuline dresses AND plays freshmen, something that NEVER happens at Mooney. Ursuline starts two freshmen on defense, with a handful more playing significantly on special teams. Furthermore, the sophomores and freshmen played almost the entire second half vs. East Tech and most of the fourth quarter vs, Strong Vincent.

The bottom line, Ursuline is building a strong program by giving their youth the experience they need right away and long before the same thing happens at Mooney. That is my answer to that question.

Oooooh...I get it. So if Mooney would be like Ursuline and play more freshman, they might actually be good. Maybe even win a state title every so often. Hmmm.

Lets not turn this into a Ursuline/Mooney thread. Start another one if you want to go there. This is a FITCH vs. Mooney thread.

GO Falcons!

It really doesn't matter who wins this one. Each teams season is pretty much over with significantly different results. Mooney came into the season loaded with raw talent and rich football history. They really never got to together and have been arguing amongst themselves on twitter. I would say in any standards, not to mention mooney standards this season was a bust.

Fitch on the other hand, after a disappointing season last, which boasted several college bound athletes only had one lose. A less talented team than last year, but the team played with heart an played together. I would say regardless of the outcome tonight, and a probable lose next week, this was a great season for Fitch.

As for tonight, I hope Fitch wins, but you never know what will happen when mooney takes the field.

Fitch sounded (from radio) absolutely dominant. Didn't look like a big crowd though at all? Maybe it's the week 10 thing and everything, but I figured the crowd would have been closer to when Boardman played there.

Wow great win by Fitch. Hopefully they got some swagger back for the holy war loser. Though one has to think Mooney may have gave in.
