Soccer dean- do you know something we don't or just stirring the pot?
Have heard it to be true as well that he is no longer the coach of this team but is still in the club. Some kind of parent issue stemming from playing time that blew up but that is strictly rumor I heard. Either way, props to him for doing the right thing at this level and playing your best players.

Well I just saw them all this past weekend. Terry had the 15s and John had the 18s and 16s. John hung out for all 3 games but left early of a 15s blowout of some team from Michigan.
Those 15's are pretty darn good. Those two forwards they have are really good players and as a team they move the ball very well.

That's good then so they must have worked everything out. I just know there was some sort of debate that got blown up but its definitely the right move to keep him as coach. And yes, that team is very good.
Is the composition of this CUP team largely the same as the team Ohio Elite beat to win last year's State Cup or has the compostion significantly changed? They appear to have developed well.

Yes, the same crew under a different coach, Teri Nichols, who has done a great job with these fine young men. If you want to watch some excellent team soccer go to one of their games - they are very fun to watch play the game. No disrespect to OE or any other team in OS but they are going to be hard to beat in state cup. The level of teams they are competing against and beating in the USYSA National League, MRL & US Club NPL has them well prepared for state cup.

Nothing against Terry, because he is a good coach, but some credit must also be given to Wes; the guy that had the team prior to Terry. He may have lost the SC to OE but that title is not a huge deal when the players are only 14 and he gave the team a good foundation. Their continued development and how they do in the future will be a lot more meaningful in the long-term. Does anybody know if Wes is still at CU?

Actually it doesn't matter what they do in State Cup. Winning their division of the National League gets them straight to Nationals regardless of how they finish in State Cup.

Wes is no longer coaching/training with CUP. He was and is a great coach. Not sure of what the future brings.
FYI....CUP went to Kansas this weekend and beat Chicago Magic 2-0 to basically also win the MRL top division. Chicago Magic won the other group at National League in Las Vegas. CUP should now be ranked either #1 or #2 in USA. 4-0-1 now in MRL top division with two games to play.
