CADIZ — The only thing that seemed to slow down Kyle Blanchard was a couple of cases of muscle cramps.
Blanchard, making his first varsity start at quarterback for Harrison Central, passed for a pair of touchdowns and intercepted a pass on defense as the Huskies pitched a 22-0 shutout win over Claymont in a high school football season opener at Wagner Field on Friday night.
Blanchard hit Alex Brooks with a 52-yard scoring pass less than two minutes into the game and tossed a 12-yard pass to Justin Valentine for a touchdown in the third quarter to help seal the win for the Huskies, who have won six in a row over the Mustangs.
